The reason Sunderland are breaking the mould for promoted teams is because they basically binned off their entire XI from last season for a whole new team and made very shrewd purchases. Xhaka has to be the best signing by a newly promoted teams in decades...

  • Nuno to Ange to Dyche in 43 days, that's some going 😆

Aul Dychie, good to see him back, Tarkowski or Michael Keane will be his first signing in January !

A lot of hyperbole flying around at the moment concerning Arsenal. Reading articles and listening to what people are saying you'd think they are 200 points clear at the top of the table with only one game left to play.

It's utterly ridiculous, everyone must have forgotten the 22-23 season when they bottled a 10 point lead in January...

I know but I can’t see who’s stopping them? Liverpool and City are capable despite the patchy form, but I think both sides have structural issues which will take a few months to sort out and by then, it’s going to be too late.

Arsenal have the best and most settled side. At this stage I can’t see any way where they don’t waltz to the title. 80 points probably does it this year.

We all know it just takes one injury to completely destabilise them (Saliba in the season I mentioned was everyone's excuse back then) and it's not like they've been winning games convincingly, They do have a strong defence which is a cornerstone of a title push but I just think they'll bottle it as always around February/March time and City will overtake them again.

The most outlandish thing I've heard is people saying that they might break Chelsea's defensive record of fewest goals conceded in a Premier League season which is 15 goals just because Arsenal have conceded 3 so far after nine games. If there's one thing that is definitely not going to happen it's that. There's no way that in the remaining 29 games they will concede no more than 11 goals!

Their backups are significantly better than previous years when they'd be bringing in a Kiwior or Zinchenko. Raya has made 9 saves since the Man Utd opener, 12 SoT conceded in 8 matches.

How sustainable that is will determine just how few goals they can concede, but it feels fairly sustainable, and I find it hard to see them losing it from here.

They've lost to all 3 promoted teams, 2 were home games but I still think they can go on a run. They were unlucky not to win against Spurs.

I always find it funny how much hatred there is for arsenal (especially from certain fans) but it would be interesting to see the reaction of Arteta fails to win the title again.

Exactly, they've peaked this season and will be really good for 1-2 seasons before they need to transition or Real Madrid take a fancy at a couple of their players.

The one thing that will slip Arsenal up is if they work out how to stop them from set pieces. Their entire game is built around set plays, you only have to look at their open play creation.

How soon with Marinakis regret his decision to appoint Dyche and be in negotiations with Brendan Rodgers since he's departed Celtic... I give it two more bad results to force his hand.
