August 24Aug 24 Everton's first match in their new stadium today. Time will tell how many opposition teams will be able to get a win there this season!
August 30Aug 30 Bournemouth looking the form team at the moment despite losing pretty much all their defence!

There are some weird results so far, it's hard to tell who is really good and who is really bad outside of a handful of teams.

September 1Sep 1 There is clearly something wrong with Nuno at Forest at the moment. There's an attempt to evolve our style to be higher pressing and more possession, it worked against Brentford (but they were missing so many players hard to know just how bad they were in Andrews first game) but was absolutely shocking yesterday, nothing at all of note created, tonnes of crosses which kept getting cleared, no real plan B or use of our new expensive subs, and a shambolic capitulation at the end. That performance, how weird he's been in the press and added to the collapse at the end of last season there's a lot more fans who are questioning whether he should stay than there normally would be just from the results. Personally think there's too many strains on the relationship between manager, owner and director that it's hard to see it being repaired and him leaving at some point is looking inevitible, in which case you might as well not delay it.With a season in Europe where we're more likely to struggle with the Thursday-Sunday routine, you couldn't have picked a better three fixtures to start the season with - 4 points is a very poor return from them.

Is the change away due to your owner wanting a more expansive style of football? Of course it’s way more exciting to watch, but it’s so hard to turn in to a pressing machine.
September 1Sep 1 Two defeats already from the first three matches for Manchester City. I had a look through the final league tables of every season in the Premier League era and the most amount of games a Premier League winning team lost in a season was 7 by Blackburn in 1995 but they played 42 games in total back then. In a 38 game season the most amount of losses was 6 by various teams so going by that trend Man City cannot afford to lose more than 4 more games from here on in if they are to get their hands on the Premier League trophy again.
September 1Sep 1 Interesting! I suppose a team could lose 7 games but win the other 31 for a total of 93 points which would ordinarily be more than enough to win the title but of course recording zero draws across an entire season would almost be as impressive an achievement (I remember Spurs came quite close to doing that a few years ago).
