yay 2 former BJSC tracks from me in this batch! 🙂I'm surprised Eddy Grant isnt on Spotify, must be a decision he made as he has been involved in getting the entire Equals catalogue out there of late, one of the forgotten pioneer bands of the 60's.

One Day In Your Life (should be in 1975 though) - Michael Jackson

Is Vic There - Department S

Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes

Sound Of The Crowd - Human League

Being With You - Smokey Robinson

This doesnt include some chart-toppers in my charts from George H, REO Sp, Adam & Ants...!

The 5 best:

The Clash - The Magnificent Seven

Freeez - Flying High

The Undertones - It's Going To Happen!

Kraftwerk - Pocket Calculator

Squeeze - Is That Love

The worst:

Hazel O'Connor - Will You

Not 100% sure of my votes yet but Pocket Calculator - Is That Love? - All Those Years Ago - Will You? might be my favourite run of the series.

Adam And The Ants - Stand And Deliver

Echo & The Bunnymen - Crocodiles

Hazel O'Connor - Will You?

Siouxsie And The Banshees - Spellbound

Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes

Worst

The Gap Band - Humpin'

Paul Shane And The Yellowcoats - Hi-De-Hi (Holiday Rock)

Champaign - How 'Bout Us

'Bette Davis Eyes' sounds more mid 80s pop than early 80s to me!

'Sound of the Crowd' good song for Human League! I heard on here that they used different single colour art for singles they deemed pop or dance, Sound of The Crowd I would say would be more dance for them!

Sorry running a bit behind with the reviews.

Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes

Human League - The Sound Of The Growd

Grover Washington Junior featuring Bill Withers - Just The Two Of Us

Kraftwerk - Pocket Calculator

Hazel O’Connor - Will You?

Grover Washington Jr - Just The Two Of Us

Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes

Odyssey - Going Back To My Roots

Hazel O'Connor - Will You

The Human League - The Sound Of The Crowd

Quincy Jones - Ai No Corrida (I-No-Ko-Ree-Da)

Adam And The Ants - Stand And Deliver

Squeeze - Is That Love

Department S - Is Vic There?

REO Speedwagon - Keep On Loving You

Tenpole Tudor - The Swords Of A Thousand Men

My votes (very unlucky for Kirsty to miss out, with Depeche Mode a little further behind)

The Specials - Ghost Town

Tom Tom Club - Wordy Rappinghood

Bruce Springsteen - The River

Spandau Ballet - Chant No 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)

Kraftwerk - The Model

Red Sovine - Teddy Bear

The Specials - Ghost Town

Tom Tom Club - Wordy Rappinghood

Kate Bush - Sat In Your Lap

Kraftwerk - The Model

Kraftwerk - Computer Love

No room for Depeche Mode, ABBA and Bruce Springsteen sadly

Edit: Edited as didn't realise I had to split Kraftwerk, sorry Spandau x

Abba - Lay All Your Love On Me

Kraftwerk - The Model

Kraftwerk - Computer Love

The Specials - Ghost Town

Tom Tom Club - Wordy Rappinghood

Linx - Throw Away The Key - really catchy

Visage - Visage - one of their better tracks

Ultravox - All Stood Still - good dance beat

Spandau Ballet - Chant No 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On) - I like the guitar in it (which was also originally sampled in Rui da Silva - Touch Me)

Depeche Mode - New Life - perhaps the best of their early songs

Evelyn King - I'm In Love - nice summer post-disco hit - it has a cool synth bassline and house-like piano in it

the Imagination track is tooooo slow for me! The Evasions - Wikka Rap is a good comedy track though!

Edited by TheSnake

ABBA - Lay All Your Love On Me (clear winner for me)

The Specials - Ghost Town (clear 2nd for me)

Kate Bush - Sat In Your Lap

Kraftwerk - The Model

and cos no-one else will vote for it I expect:🙂

Third World - Dancing On The Floor (Hooked On Love) dubtastic

Teddy Barrr takes some listenin' to...🙁

Good shout to the above poster on Third World, I'm going to vote for it too.

Top 5:

Third World - Dancing On The Floor (Hooked On Love)

Dead Kennedy's - Too Drunk To f***

Specials - Ghost Town

Tom Tom Club - Wordy Rappinghood

Depeche Mode - New Life

Worst:

Elaine Paige - Memory

Caught up with the songs I missed and I'm sad I missed out on a communal listen of that 'Teddy Bear' thing. Added 5 more songs to my playlist making 17 in total for the week, still a big step down from the week before but a few big faves among those anyway. It is going to be all songs I knew already getting my votes this week:

ABBA - Lay All Your Love On Me

Bruce Springsteen - The River

Kraftwerk - Computer Love

Kraftwerk - The Model

The Specials - Ghost Town

But good discoveries from Ultravox, Kate Bush and Motörhead. Feel like the Gillan song is worth a shoutout too as I wasn't there for it on SyncTube and I kind of loved how ridiculous and over the top it was, practically Tenacious D esque. Other gooduns I already knew as well from Spandau Ballet and Depeche Mode (I think, sounded familiar at least).
