Randy Crawford - You Might Need Somebody

Don't forget about this #11 hit! It has become quite a classic! Who sung it better though?!

Ultravox - The Thin Wall

Rolling Stones and OMD just outside. Mainly songs I didn't know today so most of these are discoveries (or just did enough to stand out amongst the many naff medleys x)

Ultravox - The Thin Wall

Soft Cell - Tainted Love

Kim Wilde - Water On Glass/Boys

The Human League - Love Action (I Believe In Love)

Adam And The Ants - Prince Charming

The 'Thin Wall' has an interesting beat to it. I think I usually prefer 80s synthpop with guitars too like Ultravox and Kim Wilde compared to just synthpop on its own like Soft Cell, although Tainted Love is a strong song!

The Cliff Richard song is suprisingly good. The Bill Wyman song is oddly quirky, while I didn't know Rolling Stones Start Me Up was an 80s song until today, thought it was 70s.

3 I already knew and 2 discoveries (Siouxsie and U2) this week. Although the Ultravox song was also one I only discovered relatively recently.

Next fave discoveries were Kim Wilde's 'Water On Glass' and Debbie Harry, next faves I already knew are Duran Duran and The Human League.

The Human League - Love Action (I Believe In Love)

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Souvenir

Soft Cell - Tainted Love

Electric Light Orchestra - Hold On Tight

Bucks Fizz - One Of Those Nights

so many classics for me here, that last slot could just as easily be occupied by Cliff, Dollar, Siouxsie, Stevie, Linx.

Soft Cell - Tainted Love

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Souvenir

The Teardrop Explodes - Passionate Friend

John Foxx - Europe (After The Rain)

Adam And The Ants - Prince Charming

Lobo - The Caribbean Disco Show (representing all of the worst medleys - all of them apart from Hooked On Classics)

Rex Smith/Rachel Sweet - Everlasting Love

Diana Ross And Lionel Richie - Endless Love

Best 5:

Carl Carlton - She's A Bad Mama Jama (She's Built, She's Stacked)

Electric Light Orchestra - Hold On Tight

UB40 - One In Ten

Genesis - Abacab

Ultravox - The Thin Wall

Worst:

The Pointer Sisters - Slow Hand
