Only 2 songs that I knew already this time! Depeche Mode and Gary Numan providing great discoveries as usual and this is one of the best I've heard from Iron Maiden too. (Gary and Iron Maiden were both before I joined today so not sure what others made of them, based on the votes so far I may or may not be the only one voting for them x). Next best ones I already knew are Band Aid, Alison Moyet, Duran Duran and Kool & The Gang and next best discoveries are Smiley Culture, The Stranglers and Bronski Beat.

Not as good this time overall. Top 2 are classics though. Aside from that, Murray Head is a good parody of foolish people going abroad for sports reasons and not appreciating the local culture. Soul Deep is a good hip hop dance song with a political message.

Fresh is a good track and Private Dancer is sad thematically but a good song.

Not this weekend - I'd like to listen to the first of the newly extended First Look shows, which I originally thought would start last Sunday but in fact is tomorrow. I'll also aim to finish my reviews of 1991 #1s before resuming this series, even if it ends up being the same day. So it could be next Sunday, but I've still a bit of prep to do, as well as stuff elsewhere on the site, so it's still tbc at the minute.
