March 5Mar 5 Author EFL clubs have voted in favour of expanding the Championship play-offs from four to six teams. The new system is similar to the format used in the National League and will be introduced for the 2026-27 season. It means teams finishing from third to eighth will compete for promotion to the Premier League.Clubs finishing third and fourth will progress directly to the semi-final, while a one-legged quarter final will be played with fifth at home to eighth and sixth hosting seventh.
March 6Mar 6 Not sure I like this. How about just having 24 teams play home and away and the top 3 get promoted?
March 27Mar 27 Author Bristol City have appointed as their head coach until the end of the season......One Roy Hodgson.
March 27Mar 27 Blimey how has that guy still got the motivation to be a manager? Nearly killed him at Palace didn't it...
March 27Mar 27 Author I think he breaks the Football League record for the longest spell between returning to the same club which he managed in 1982.
April 20Apr 20 Coventry got promoted after their draw vs Blackburn Rovers on Friday evening. In fact I believe they maybe champions now too after the weekends results!
April 21Apr 21 Leicester have been relegated to League One. 10 years on from winning the Premier League it's a 2nd consecutive relegation for them. When you look at their squad you can see players who have multiple years of top flight experience so it's mad that they've gotten themselves into this situation.
April 21Apr 21 Yeh even with the 6 point deduction they have players like Pattison Daka, Ayew, Garry Winks Ricardo Perriera, Hamza Chodhury, Janice Vestegard, Asmir Begovic, Oliver Skipp, Jamal Lacelles & Bobby Decordova Reid.

April 26Apr 26 Fair play to Coventry, it’s been 25 years and they’ve been as low as the bottom of the 4th tier and didn’t even have a home ground for a lot of that and now look….
April 27Apr 27 Yeah congratulations to Coventry! It will be refreshing to see them in the Premier League, I remember them being there in the late 90's and early 2000's and didn't think it would take them so long to return. If they can provide Man Utd with 6 points next season though as a goodwill gesture it would be much appreciated 😂
May 2May 2 Final matchday today - it really is going down to the wire this year with three teams in the running to take that second spot!
May 2May 2 Congratulations to Ipswich on getting the second promotion spot. If Southampton win the play-offs, all three teams relegated from the Premier League last season will have left the Championship, albeit in the wrong direction in Leicester's case.
May 2May 2 Well done to Ipswich! I was hoping Millwall might overtake them as I've never seen them in the Premier League before, but it certainly gives Ipswich another shot at top division football.
