All the polls at the moment seem so weird. It's so easy for Reform at the moment as we don't know all of their policies.

I know a few people are against it, but I really do think Boris might be the only way to beat them.

I always said Boris would be back but thought it’d be the 2030s lol like his hero Winston!

Choosing between Boris and Reform would be like choosing what knife to stab yourself with.

What annoys me is the sheer number of bad faith articles in the newspapers now that misrepresent what really happened in order to make people who are conservative (small c) and DEMONSTRABLY IN THE WRONG look like victims and/or people being persecuted.

There was a story this week that uk reddit was all over about "man ARRESTED for just a little tweet".

What the article failed to mention was that the man in question was a former UKIP councillor who had previously been arrested, charged and fined for targeted harrassment TO THE POINT OF MAKING UP A P.AED.O ACCUSATION against someone he disagreed with politically, and apparently since this occasion, hadn't then stopped posting inflammatory things, but had just toed the line more carefully of plausible deniability.

Someone like that is CLEARLY up to no good and trying to get at people and yet the newspaper leaves ALL OF THAT out. And we get story after story like this.

Just bringing it up re the union jack girl story.

Can't see Tory MP's taking him down to last two to go to membership.

This always bugs me. No one has ever been arrested for "just a tweet". There's always more to it, whether or not you personally agree with it.

If tories are nothing they will do anything to survive and if Kemi continues to struggle and he’s the only option to win they’ll go with him!

The same applies to Johnson as applies to Andy Burnham for Labour. Any attempt to get them back into the Commons via a byelection is likely to backfire.

Policies will be dictated by their oligarchs sponsors after election

Still they will be allowed to contest election or Farage will be bribed or arrested one monthe before election

Without Farage thye do not exist as they are mostly dumbest rejects from tories or corrupter weirdos having peoblems with themselves

Will just leave that here for anyone tempted by Reform. There's a good reason a lot of people have to think they're not serious. Just imagine this on a national level.

What will the Tories do if they offer to have a pact with Reform for next election as is rumoured now but Farage insists he 'd be PM?

Where have you seen this? There is no way this will be true.

It’d be like a rerun of the National government in the 1930s!

I heard a great quote on the politics of the past 20 or so years - ‘the Ulsterisation of British Politics’

😂

We are always ahead of the curve with our conflicts 🤣

The Seanad by election in south wales today shows the polls aren’t far wrong if an election was held today albeit a by election usually leads to the government taking a hit naturally.

PC won with 47%

Reform came a strong second on 37% albeit were said to be leading and

Labour on 11%

Tories on 2%

So the left has to hope of coalesce around one left wing candidate depending on the seat and reform are in the 30-35% range!

I think Steve's point is that the polls are accurate - Reform have a strong core vote made up of UKIPers, ex Tories, ex Labour and people using them as the Change/Protest vote.

No other Party has that level of support, but what the polls don't take in to consideration is that the Left/Centre and probably some of the moderate Tory voters will switch to any other Party to stop Reform winning.

I watched Newsnight last night and PC have ambitions to win the Senate, but they were quite pragmatic that they may have to work with Labour. Probably key for now if Reform keep up this vote share/momentum, it will be more of a case of people voting tactically to keep out Reform. Take me for example, I am quite left-wing socially ,but econonomically way more right wing than a lot of people on here, but I'll vote anyone who has the best chance of beating Reform.

Oh I got his point, it just seemed odd not to post the correct %'s given PC had an 11% lead rather than a 4% lead
