Personally i think tying herself to Corbyn from the off was strategically poor. Long-Bailey may have been a better bet; both for advice on how to manage Corbyn, and to have an ally who would cover some of her own weaknesses.

I think to an extent that is where the Labour left falls down strategically over and over again; they don't cover their bases. I don't know if it's because they don't think to or they don't think hard enough about the optics; but that really is the whole point of the party being a broad church in the first place, that your ticket can cover multiple different possible voter groups.

From the off Your party, by its makeup, only really ever had the maximum potential to capture voters that were happy with a Muslim-majority party and faction. That would be easy to propagandise against, not least by rejuvenating the accusations that got Corbyn kicked out of leadership in the first place.

As a Lib Dem I'm not particularly bothered, but I do find the clumsiness of it all embarrassing.

Corbyn's cult has about six members. Creating a split in such a small group is quite an achievement.

I nearly thought you said Lloyd George there SH, by 1932 the old trickster had 6 loyal MPs in the old liberal party all of them related to him!

When i see Zarah Sultana it reminds me girls I used to buy a beer during teenage years and she wold do everything for this.

Anyone has the same impression?

There should be law that if any MP abandons the party should be automatically by election

We have a a situation when she is getting paid to s...t into her own nest and instead of sorting constituents problems she is paid for she yaps 'Gaza Gaza Palestine'

She represents British pople was not elected in Gaza

Edited by PorkDiniguan

I would imagine many did vote for her because of her position on Gaza though. She’s hardly yapping about it, it’s one of the worst stories of our times.

Why be a Lib Dem??? Completely USELESS party and a neoliberal party at that. Like ... why? I would never support Neolib Dems. Ever. Remember whst they did with Cameron too...

Can't make any sense of this whatsoever?

That's my politics, what can I say? Given I come from a conservative society out of my peers this is already very liberal. I respect and listen to most other views and consider changing my opinions in the light of new evidence.

Stand-off over £800,000 Your Party funds held by Zarah Su...

Your Party officials accuse Zarah Sultana of withholding funds despite publicly agreeing to transfer the money.

"We're going to create a left-wing party for those who want real change" or whatever the original sentiment was.

How has it been several months and we've gotten nowhere? I appreciate that getting a party up and running likely isn't an easy job but it's like they'd rather fight amongst themselves.

And now the first of the Independent Alliance MPs has walked away from Your Party. If any MPs bar Sultana are still there by the end of the year I will be surprised.

Oh, yeah!

Last night Your Party got their first official Question Time representation with Zarah Sultana going on there.

What did the Your Party account do? Promote her? Show some excitement at their message getting out on the BBC's flagship political debate show?

(incidentally I've seen a few clips, I tend to watch later but they all look promising for the purpose of promoting left-wing politics as I expected, she is a good communicator with the public, if clearly disastrous with her supposed allies)

No, instead, literally while the show was airing so that Sultana could not respond, someone put out this statement about the funding debacle, signed off by all of the MPs except Sultana (though Corbyn has since claimed he had nothing to do with the statement and of course Hussain has now left the project).

Whatever's going on there is a dumpster fire, and I'm happy to see Hussain out, because he was the exact sort of MP who should be nowhere near a left-wing project, and well, hopefully that quickens the process of this all rolling up and Sultana joining the Greens, if they'd have her after all this.

They should rename this party, Rejoin, go full on left wing PLUS have rejoin the EU/ sm as a major policy point, and go head to hehad with shitty Reform in a rerun of the brexshit referendum, but thid time with the right eating its karma

There’s already a Rejoin Party. They’ve… not done too week so far -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rejoin_EU

How have they managed to make such a mess of it?

Corbyn & Sultana are being dropped from it too.

I don't know if the whole idea is completely dead, but hopefully whoever takes over doesn't waste time arguing amongst themselves.
