The quality of Oasis albums fell down a cliff after album 2 so no wonder those are the most streamed :)

someone posted it's the same for Arctic Monkeys but couldn't be more different. It's AM-their 5th album the one streamed the most, which is top 20 more weeks and doing >4K. Their 2nd is their debut which does 2K a week and is low top 100.

“Ordinary” to start its 3rd run at #1 in the ACR free chart this week then. Its run in that chart is looking ever more like the Top 10 run for Frankie Laine’s “I Believe” which was:

8-4-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-2-2-2-3-2-2-4-6-5-7-4-6-10

Old rules Top 10 run for “Ordinary” so far:

My message was a bit ambiguous : of course, AM is their most popular album but what I wanted to say is that, except for this one, people listens mostly their 2 first albums (like Oasis). AM's chart-run is incredible (616 weeks in top 100 and it fell off just one week (December 2016) since its release almost 12 years ago !) but the rest of their discography actual streams concentrate on their debut. Whatever People... is at 2.4M now and it seems AM will never catch it up (2.1M) even if it's still charting higher.

My point was that Standing on the Shoulder of Giants is like Humbug. Except for anniversary reissues, people don't seem to care a lot.

AM is kinda Arctic Monkey's Morning Glory. Even if Be Here Now was much bigger than Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino, few years later, people are not really interested in the 2 post AM albums which are boring.

Oasis & Arctic Monkeys early careers are pretty similar. It's much more rock than the rest and I think that's what people love about these 2 bands.

I agree except that Humbug includes my favourite Arctic Monkeys song, Cornerstone….., but that’s probably just me! 🤣
