Here's my Now 16, the last of three 1989 editions and the last volume of the 80s. Due to the number of omissions included, quite a large number of tracks from the original Now 16 I have taken off. I w

I think this is a good edition, hardly any top tens missing from the period. It’s a shame Golden isn’t there but it’s too huge still I suppose or Netflix just aren’t offering it for licensing at all.

And if a song peaks on the border, they’ll include it on the following year. Cry Wolf for instance. It peaked on the border between 1986 and 1987 and it got included on 1987. I just hope that Bohemian Rhapsody isn’t the Queen song we get on extra 1991. I hope they go with either Innuendo or These Are The Days Of Our Lives

Exactly. The Clash was a hit in 1982 on initial release and then 1991 on re-release, therefore fair game to be on both as a hit on two separate occasions spread apart.

It's not the same as being on the border of two years as your examples here are.

Imagine if we get one of George's minor hits instead of Queen at all! I was surprised that the awful remix of Another One Bites The Dust wasn't on Extra '98.

Or imagine they include Bohemian Rhapsody on the extra then 1975 gets announced as the next yearbook and it also appears on there?

I’m majorly upset that The Simpsons didn’t make it. Whilst they were produced by Michael Jackson in an era that makes his music non-licensable, I thought they had a sliver of a chance due to the label they’re currently on.

Gutted that they and the following didn’t make it:

Queen - BoRhap/These Are The Days/Innuendo

Enigma - Sadness Part I

Bryan Adams - Everything I Do

Right Said Fred - I’m Too Sexy

2 Unlimited - Get Ready For This

Also, the inconsistency. The Prodigy are here (gladly) with Charly but not on ‘92 with Everybody In The Place. Also ‘93 with

One Love.

Though, this gives me hope for Firestarter, Breathe and No Good.

I’ve made a list of songs that I hope and expect to appear on extra 1991

Queen - Innuendo or These Are The Days Of Our Lives

Roxette - Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)

The Shamen - Move Any Mountain

Xpansions - Move Your Body

N-Joi - Anthem

PM Dawn - Set Adrift On Memory Bliss

Slade - Radio Wall Of Sound

Iron Maiden - Bring Your Daughter…To The Slaughter

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Pandora’s Box

Whitney Houston - My Name Is Not Susan

The Wonder Stuff - The Size Of A Cow

Samantha Janus - A Message To Your Heart

Chesney Hawkes - I’m A Man Not A Boy

The KLF - Last Train To Trancentral

Diana Ross - When You Tell Me That You Love Me

Nomad featuring MC Mikee Freedom - (I Wanna Give You) Devotion

2 In A Room - Wiggle It

Monty Python - Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life

Julian Lennon - Saltwater

Cathy Dennis - Too Many Walls

Enigma - Sadeness (Part I)

R.E.M - Losing My Religion

R.E.M - The One I Love

Mike + The Mechanics - Word Of Mouth

Incognito featuring Jocelyn Brown - Always There

Rozalla - Faith (In The Power Of Love)

Take That - Do What U Like

Simply Red - Something Got Me Started

Salt-N-Pepa - Let’s Talk About Sex

Living Colour - Cult Of Personality

C+C Music Factory - Things That Make You Go Hmmm

Jesus Jones - International Bright Young Thing

The Levellers - One Way

Soho - Hippy Chick

Praise - Only You

The Mock Turtles - Can You Dig It?

Again loads of dance songs missing - maybe some of these will appear on the extra:

The Source - You Got The Love

2 In A Room - Wiggle It

Nomad - (I Wanna Give You) Devotion

Xpansions - Elevation

Quartz - It's Too Late

N-Joi - Anthem

Gary Clail - Human Nature

KLF - Last Train To Trancentral

Color Me Badd - I Wanna Sex You Up

Incognito - Always There

Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince - Summer Time

Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy

PM Dawn - Set Adrift On Memory Bliss

2 Unlimited - Get Ready For This

Altern-8 - Activ-8

Bassheads- Is There anybody Out There

Bizarre Inc - Playing With Knives

East-Side Beat - Ride Like The Wind

Kym Sims - Too Blind To See It

Shaft - Roobarb & Custard

Glass Tiger - My Town

I was the same with Teletubbies not making it on any of the 1997 albums.

Maybe Do the Bartman or Deep, Deep Trouble will appear on 1991 Extra.

Seeing as they made the mistake of including Should I Stay Or Should I Go on both extra 1982 and 1991, I wouldn’t mind if Steal My Sunshine appears on one of the 1999 yearbooks even though it already appeared on Now Millennium 2000-2001

Found this on the Now fandom page. I don’t think it’s real but it looks well done and I wonder if it will be the official coverIMG_1874.jpeg

Don’t they usually reveal the cover with the artist names already there.

I thought that too. I think it could be a fake seeing as there’s also no pig on the cover

Seen on Now collectors group on Facebook that the next spin-off will be a disco one. Rather than give us a pointless disco spin-off, give us vault 1982 or yearbook 1985-1989. The last two are the ones that most people are waiting for

Release date for 12" 1985 part 2 has been pushed back a week for some unknown reason

Now Eras Disco 1973-1980 due for release on 7th November. Good idea to release it as an eras as it might help to boost sales and it’s only 6 weeks after the last erasIMG_1907.jpegIMG_1908.jpeg

Another pointless spin-off. If they had suddenly acquired the rights to a big disco artist such as Bee Gees, Jackson 5 or ABBA then sure, but this is just another rinse and repeat yet again.
