Can't recall what year you are on going backwards... is it 1996 now? I really want to see a volume that has Earth Song on it as Track 1 please!

Back to 1992!

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but BRAVO Hits 132 will release on February 13. No cover art yet, unfortunately.

Update: it has been released!

Where did you find this?

David Guetta, Katy Perry, Tate McRae, Tame Impala and Sienna Spiro are the artists on that album who are likely to appear on Now 123

Can't see any Alex Warren on that tracklist though despite his name on the cover...

CD 2. He’s on there with Eternity

Vault 1982 has reached number 5 on the compilation chart, the same position as extra 1991. I thought extra 1991 would’ve out peaked vault 1982, not match its peak

Very nice that they continue it, but I hope from 65 upwards they go for real yearbooks + extras.

Don't know the full tracklisting yet, but based on what's in this trailer, I'm adding this one to my collection. I really enjoyed Volume 1, and the fact that this is split over 2 years rather than 3 means we get a little more from each year. Looking forward to this one!

I hope Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree is the closing track on the album and I reckon it will be released 27th February. They should do the 60s years individually or do what they did with the 00s

Due for release on 27th February and they missed a trick by ignoring Brenda Lee’s Christmas songIMG_2694.jpegIMG_2693.jpeg

How so? It was recorded in 1958 and released/reached its 60s peak in 1962.

I think including a 1964 hit is a good move.

Anyway, I'm not that enthused by the early 60s but nonetheless a lot of recognisable classics on here. Blue Velvet featuring on a second 'Yearbook', although I don't really consider these as canon as they cover more than one year.

It reached its 60s peak on the cusp of 1962 and 1963 and as they usually go by week ending, they’d class it as 1963

Great to see bossa nova classic 'The Girl From Ipanema' on that track list <3 it barely scraped the top 30 but feels way more iconic than that suggests.

Fantastic tracklist! Several highlights are here for me, they are:

  • Gerry & The Pacemakers - I Like It and You'll Never Walk Alone

  • Brian Poole & The Tremeloes - Twist and Shout and Do You Love Me?

  • The Searchers - Sweets For My Sweet

  • Stan Getz - The Girl From Ipanema

  • The Surfaris - Wipe Out

  • The Kinks - You Really Got Me and All Day and All Of The Night

  • Manfred Mann - 5-4-3-2-1 and Do Wah Diddy Diddy

Honestly, on the whole, I have to admit this is a strong tracklist. No Beatles is to be expected due their record label. Even if you're not keen on this era, there are some really timeless classics here.

Will the early Beatles recordings/masters be in the public domain come 2033 (isn't it 70 years)? Now will surely milk this big time if the albums are still a thing in the 2030s and Beatles material suddenly becomes available to them 😆
