  • Americans hate UK rap I’m surprised it’s doing as well as it is not only with central cee but Drake basically using a fake Jamaican British accent the whole song

  • Ordinary is such a SMASH HIT.

  • Golden above Bieber today we may have a K-pop 1 on our hands

Wow at “Back To Friends” being #2 - shame it’s both on ACR and no doubt hugely over-performing on Spotify as ever.

Good that “12 For 12” is doing OK too.

Very interesting chart battle this week- hope HUNTR/X actually pull it off for the novelty alone. Good to see Drake falling away and Sombr's new one rising back up! Ozzy dropping quite a bit sadly, hope Crazy Train is still in with a shout of top 40

Very low streams all round even for a Sunday

I do LIKE 'Golden', but I find it surprising that it's taken off because you could fully tell me it came 4th in Norway's Eurovision selection and I'd believe you.

Yes, #69 here and already top 10 in the US.

Oh, I know that! I just think it’s interesting that it’s doing so well because it genuinely is the sort of thing you’d hear in any Scandinavian national final for Eurovision, so I would never have heard Golden in particular and thought it gave worldwide smash.

Will never complain at a straight up pop song doing well though!

KPop on Amazon:

2 Golden

3 Soda pop

7 Your idol

13 How it's done

21 Takedown

24 What it sounds like

8 Bieber

Alex Warren:

1 Ordinary

18 Eternity (now being pushed on Amazon too)

22 Carry you home

25 Bloodline

66 On my mind

Kpop Demon Hunters is probably the closest to "novelty hits for kids" in years. I've seen loads of 5-10 year olds talking about it. Two little girls were singing Soda Pop just half an hour ago in a bus.

No, they aren’t just for kids, doesn’t sound like a kids songs, not more than any other “straight up pop” song from the last few years.

It’s just good and doing great and I’m happy for it. Golden for number 1!

It's a cartoon, of course kids are going to love it. But 100% agree it shouldn't just be dismissed as "novelty music for kids", everyone on my uni course loves the film and the soundtrack 😂

So you said it yourself, maybe kids loved it, I agree but not only, and your example is a great one. I’m all here for Golden to be huge (it is already anyway) and also I prefer WISL but it’s the least streamed one 😅

It’s incredibly Bonnie McKee 2011 unreleased album reject track coded to me

That's why I said "closest to". Not really Bob the Builder but closer to that than Kate Bush.

Haha obviously not A Kate Bush quality but a smash! Maybe the second smash of the year so far (at least internationally).
