Official Charts Report

The impact of musical fantasy film KPop Demon Hunters on the Official UK Charts is growing.

This week, Golden by HUNTR/X - performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami - is ahead at Number 1 on the Official Chart: First Look.

Two more tracks from the film are also eyeing up new peaks in this week’s Top 20; Soda Pop (9) and Your Idol (11) by Huntr/x’s rivals the Saja Boys (Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo and samUIL Lee).

Drake and Central Cee have teamed up for Which One, which is currently set to be this week’s highest new entry at Number 5.

No Broke Boys by Disco Lines & Tinashe could make its entrance into the Top 10, up two (10), while Lola Young could claim her third Top 20 single with Dealer (20).

Finally, following the loss of heavy metal pioneer Ozzy Osbourne last week, six tracks from his catalogue could land in the Top 50:

Black Sabbath’s Paranoid (18), War Pigs (43) and Iron Man (44), and Osbourne’s solo releases Crazy Train (21), Mama, I’m Coming Home (39) and No More Tears (47).

The Official Chart: First Look offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Albums

Not a clue

Think it'll be Paul Weller at number one on the albums but hopefully The K's can pull it off. Alice Cooper might be a contender too

Anyone know the longest run in the top 10 on acr [which isn't a christmas song ] , ordinary still hovering 😅

The latest Now album is out - volume 121 - but it will have an uphill fight to top the compilation chart.

The last 3 Now albums have sold 10,008 , 9,759 ad 8,998 on their opening week.

The current number 1 , K-Popp Demon Hunters, has increased its sales every week so far and had 14,465 sales last week.

Songs with the most weeks to date in the UK Top 10 while on regular ACR

Since its introduction in July 2017

1=| 7 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits (2021)

1=| 7 Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber - Despacito (2017)

1=| 7 Noah Kahan - Stick Season (2024)

4=| 6 Lil Nas X - Old Town Road (2019)

4=| 6 The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (2020)

6| 5 Alex Warren - Ordinary (2025) +

'Despacito' and 'Bad Habits' had the only 7-week continuous runs. 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)' also had 7 weeks Top 10 on ACR (2 pre-reset, 5 after), though those were all from "permanent" ACR like the Christmas songs.

So ordinary could be coming for another record 😬

James Masterson mentioned something interesting in his column yesterday about the Compilation charts for soundtracks. Streams of songs specific to a soundtrack album are attributed to that album's unit totals but streams of songs on regular compilations don't (ie they will go to the artist's parent album and/or nominated greatest hits album in the Individual Artists chart) so it gives soundtrack albums an added lift on the Compilation Charts that other Compilation/Various Artists albums don't benefit from. I suppose it makes sense but I hadn't thought about it before....
