I think the theory is more the 6 variants are her representation of buying back her masters because if you remember the second page of her letter was the tracklist for TLOAS but that wasnt revealed until its official announcement,

So if thats the case there wouldn't be variants representing lover onwards

I decided when the album announcement happened that I'm not playing these FOMO games with her for this roll out. I'll wait and see what is available in release week!

I never play the games , I find it funny all the people whinging, noone forced to do anything (she's always my spotify number 1 by considerable margains) i just dont buy any forms of physical media , only physical CD i purchased in the last 10 years was a signed copy of Confetti by LM because it was on a 5 quid flash sale

Yes I’m the same. Though previously I had more incentive since I collect cds not vinyl but I have made the same decision. I picked one to pre order (the blue yellow one with the tour dancers next to her on the cover) and that’s it. I’ll let myself have 2cds if they come, the standard and one alternate but it’s taking the piss now, this is the 4th rollout with this style and it’s getting boring and repetitive. I like some of the alt covers but in my opinion they should not be so normalised, an album cover is meant to be a photo to show you what the album is all about and having so many of them defeats the purpose in my opinion!

I dont get the moaning about that either loads of artist do the multiple variants, Jade, sabrina to name a couple, heck bands in the past had a variant per member its nothing new

If I’d have been successful in getting the blue variant, I would have cancelled my orange one. I really want that one so bad! It looks gorgeous 😭😭 but I get the feeling the way these ones are worded as “First and Only Pressing” instead of “Limited Edition” these are going to actually be… limited. Much like the ‘folklore’ and ‘evermore’ variants.

My issue lies with these artists stores not doing anything about shipping if you order so much etc.. even with staggered releases - surely there’s a way to know if people have ordered so many times to take the shipping costs off after the 3rd one or something 🥲🥲🥲

Personally I just feel he fishing for a reaction at this point, as you just proven loads of artist do it it its not Taylors fault she does so well with it, I've said loads of times in the past noone holding a gun against your head forcing you to buy every variant

They were just giving fans a choice over what variant they liked not issuing countdowns and limited quantity with diff covers to entice the same people to buy the same album 10+ times to boost the sales

It's the same thing the countdown is just a little twist to reveal the variant 🤣🤣

I think the variants reveals maybe over she gone back to the original cover defaults on socials now
