October 13Oct 13 That's exactly why I despise Pierced Organ so much. Love how Zack totally didn't back down to even show any signs of buckling there! Edited October 13Oct 13 by Jessie Where
October 14Oct 14 I just hope that this is leading to something. This is wild and something I never thought would be possible!
October 19Oct 19 It's so nice just having that little bit of hope there for us all. Truly! They're not a perfect party by any means, but they're definitely the best choice out there rn and honestly, there will never be a "perfect party".I really hope this momentum lasts long enough to get the Greens substantial support come election time. The papers and press are trying to bury him, so I know he's the perfect choice!
October 19Oct 19 Problem is the electoral system! It’ll just mean a right winger gets in if you split the votes!
Monday at 05:345 days It’s nice to see England finally have a viable alternative to Labour for those on the left to join PC and SNP in providing a solid progressive platform in opposition to a centre right labour government 8 hours ago, Steve201 said:Problem is the electoral system! It’ll just mean a right winger gets in if you split the votes!Coz the right wing vote isn’t split currently is it?
Monday at 06:265 days Depends what you call right wing, the current government is relatively right wing when you put all their policies on the floor. They believe you have to be right wing in government because they accept the narrative of the establishment. The only two REAL right wing parties on paper or for the said establishment are the tories and reform party and they are just realigning now. So they aren’t really splitting each other up.The only two real left wing parties are the Greens and a prospective Your Party but since the latter hasn’t had an electoral test yet it’s hard to tell whether they will be 1% of the vote of 12%. At any rate in a FPTP system it’ll not mean much depending on the spread of the vote. Then there’s the Lib Dem’s who are on as many seats as they’ve had since 1922 but can they build an electoral coalition to be in government, I’m not so sure. There’s old Labour reformy seats in the old industrial north who just don’t have a history of voting Lib Dem and I can’t see them starting now. Then there’s the question of are they right or left and again no one knows. Most likely they are just an alternative to Labour who as I said above are generally pro establishment centre righters. When Labour are in government they sit to their left when we have the tories they can play to the centre right. Edited Monday at 06:315 days by Steve201
