Poor Pogues, easily the best song here but undone by its own success.

I went for 'Fairytale of New York'. Here are my reasons:

1. Every Christmas, it's played all the time and is one of the reasons I avoid listening to Christmas music.

2. The lead singer sounds like he's passing kidney stones.

My point was its success has meant it has appeared in multiple survivors and so people are holding that against it (which is fair, everyone has their own reason). I just hope people hold Brightside to the same criteria!
