Snow Patrol have been sent back to Belfast. This was the lead single from their fifth album about Gary Lightbody’s love for the Northern Irish capital, and reached #6 in October 2008. It was their 5th, and to date their final, Top 10 hit.

Aqua now, but it’s actually a well written song and I’m glad it’s made the top half.

Aqua for me now, it somewhat pales compared to their 97/98 hits.

Let's Get It Started. I like the 'and the bass keeps runnin' runnin'' bit, but that's about it.

It took me many years to realise it, but Cartoon Heroes is actually a brilliantly well made song (and video). At the time I felt it was like more of the same, but it's crafted with hooks and has great production and did show an evolution of their sound, it's much bigger in scope than the stuff on their first album and only peaked as low at No.7 because the bubblegum pop boom of the late 90s had already started to show signs of waning by 2000 and Aqua felt old hat at this point.

Remaining with 'Mr Brightside'. Nice for Aqua to make the top half!

How have Aqua made the top half... lyrically it goes somewhere, sure, but those vocals are just ouch.

aww Cartoon Heroes is great fun! Gone for BEP not one of their bestest.
