V is for Voodoo.

'Voodoo' titled album tracks by both the Spice Girls and Adam Lambert in the late 00s, and in my opinion, both deserved the singles treatment!

Spice Girls released their 'Voodoo' as one of two new songs included on their 2007 Greatest Hits album, alongside woeful ballad 'Headlines' (how that was selected to be their comeback single instead of the fun, up-tempo 'Voodoo' is beyond me). This song really captures their heyday energy in a way 'Headlines' could never. kink

Two years later and American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert released his own 'Voodoo' as part of his underrated debut album For Your Entertainment. In contrast to the Spices' upbeat track, Adam's is a lot more in tune with how you'd imagine a song titled 'Voodoo' to sound: dark, supernatural and a bit eerie.

But which is your favourite 'Voodoo'?

It's not that good. Girls Aloud had some killer B-sides. It's probably more Girl Thing album track.

They are both good voodoos.

I went for Spice Girls' because it fits on more occasions and events than Adam Lambert's (you know, it's October and that means... 🫢).

Worful ballad, Headlines!!!!! :cheeseblock: cheeseblock Someone should have told them they already had too many ballads!!!

Anyway, their Voodoo is better, but their writing had clearly seen better days. It was like a Girls Alpud or Satuedays B side.
