  • I doubt it will be that big of a drop as they’ll all be stabilising I think, of course with a high debut the drop will be bigger so I don’t think it’ll be that dramatic of a drop, though still a decre

Elton is playing piano not singing

  • Yeah my issue with this is that he shouldn't get a credit for playing the piano - otherwise anyone who plays the piano on any track should get a credit! It's a bit unfair IMO   * would have

I'm honestly so sick and tired of Sam Fender by now. His new track sounds exactly the same, as well. And where was Elton John?

There's no reason it can't happen otherwise, it's just that Elton's a bigger name so I don't see why they wouldn't want to draw attention to Elton's presence on the track!

He's been a feature before when only playing the piano. Some people have Rock artists just playing guitar on their songs and credit them as a feature. So not just Elton John who does it

But my issue is that it counts towards his chart tally which I don't think is fair.

But plenty don't too so it's inconsistent. Taking the guitar example, Slash played guitar (quite prominently) on Michael Jackson's #2 hit 'Give In To Me'. So why should Elton get a chart hit for this but Slash didn't get one for that?

Remember Paul McCartney on Rihanna + Kanye's Fourfiveseconds and Brian May on Dappy's Rockstar?

It's the same principle as something like Paul McCartney getting a credit on FourFiveSeconds, or even Calvin Harris on Eliza Rose's Body Moving where he's "just" the producer. It's just label politics and taking advantage of name-power, credits are far from being "fair" or consistent anyway (see Aloe Blacc not getting to officially claim a #1 for Avicii's Wake Me Up, for example)

Demi Lovato included him as a credited feature on sorry not sorry Rock version.
