Totally this! Kylie was over the moon at getting the #1 album at the fan event last night.

XMAS becoming a hit is a bonus to that - We’ve had Padam and Tension become hit singles which I never thought would happen and now this, it feels like the perfect end to the year for Kylie.

I hear what everyone is saying and regardless it’s a top 5 single which is great. They’ve handled it perfectly so far but I do think they need to just get more mixes out and give it everything.

It’s obvious Amazon streams are stable now I can’t see these increasing much (Amazon chart wise) they have really pushed it this week but XMAS is very polarising compared to the usual Christmas tracks so I’d imagine people are more likely to skip over Tom Grennan / Sam as they slotted in relatively unnoticed.

It’s hard to call we have no idea how many physicals have been sold or downloads so hopefully Sunday we get some flash sales to get an idea

Last year, Wham did 59k, Mariah 44k and Brenda 37k. Tom Grennan (Amazon exclusive) did 39k.

No one knows exactly but based on the fact Christmas songs are down 7/8% on last year you get an idea unless there's a random boost that hasn't happened over the 3 weeks.

Really interested to see how many physicals have been sold of XMAS - usually her single releases are limited/sell out.

I’m hoping for more sales than normal due to availability, just not convinced the GP want/care about a physical 2 track format for a single.

Looks like XMAS will go well inside Kylies top 40 best selling UK hits of her career before the year is out

How was the video premiere??

Hopefully they’ve produced more of the singles as it’s being distributed through Amazon. I agree though it’s already a niche product/ hard sell outside the fanbase.

Once we have first look etc then we’ll roughly know what the main players are tracking towards as well as Kylie’s presale and on time Amazon figures.

Outside of number 1/ top 5 or whatever I do hope XMAS bags plenty of chart sales this week and next because otherwise that silver cert won’t happen anytime soon otherwise.

When we arrived we went into a ‘Kylie’ room - decorated with lots of props etc and photo ops.

Then went into the main room, Kylie answered some questions submitted (including mine), then we saw the video premier, then Kylie and the dancers on the stage doing the XMAS dance and then the video again.

We got gift bags at the end - mine had wine, KC hat, postcards, stickers, Christmas card etc.,

Even though she’d got the award earlier in the night they presented it to her again and she seemed genuinely over the moon to have another #1.

Same - have it streaming on low on my work phone and personal phone and have the Alexa device playing it too - glad we’ll have a 12 month break from this song as I’ll need it 😭🤣

Not sure the album will count for the singles chart more towards the album stream sales?

Also LOVE the video, on 77k streams so far - as everyone has said the final part where she is outside and dancing is the best but think it’s a great and totally matches the song.

thats 77k worldwide though lol. so maybe 7.7k UK streams = 600/1 ratio usually = 14 sales........ hopefully can get on a trending chart and in some articles to grab some more streams and sales

I didn’t say it was good 🤣 Expecting minimal contribution from video streams but anything will help.
