Kylie Minogue takes an early lead in the Official UK Christmas Number 1 race 2025 with her Amazon Music UK exclusive single XMAS, Official Charts can confirm.

Currently 7,000 units ahead 48 hours into the race, the Aussie pop princess’s lead is boosted by the release of XMAS's new 7” gold vinyl, 12” zoetrope vinyl and CD editions which freshly dropped on Friday, and also Amazon Music streams which are typically higher over the weekend too.

Kylie will also be performing XMAS at tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing semi final, which could propel her chances further still.

Yeah they definitely need to get more versions to download hopefully they are released tomorrow

I'd say more physicals have to added yet and hopefully remixes galore for the week, nice start having a 7k lead but they really need to throw everything at it now

One extended mix isn't enough they need to drop 5/10 new mixes and make them available on both Amazon and her webstore.

7k is a really good lead considering it would probably be at a similar position as it was in the previous First Look without physicals and downloads? Shame not to get a breakdown but I’m sure we will in tomorrows update, hopefully the Strictly performance will help boost and also hope fans rally round now that they know Kylie is in with a big chance.

As much as I want Kylie to be Christmas number one because it’s Kylie, another part of me wants her to be number one to break up the cycle of Wham being number one almost by default. I want other artists to feel encouraged to go for the #1 in future years.

They could but it would be incredibly hard as it'll be frontloaded. It's probably around 15k behind number 1 at this point as it's streaming is basically zero

They were using the download chart and Lullaby has done 2.5k more downloads than Kylie.

Doesn't take much for public to all purchase a 99p download

The Palestine Charity single is doing far better than I expected and I'm see Neneh Cherry back in the top 5 but it won't be a threat to kylies position due to streaming.
