I think it will be top 10 again next year too.

I mean it could, but historically it’s never happened with an Amazon exclusive becoming a sizable hit the year after.

Awww Kylie’s latest story is so cute! I’m honestly so buzzing that it’s looking likely! 22 years since her last number 1, one of very few women to ever get a Christmas number 1 (12 years it’s been s

I don’t care if it sells 0 copies ever again after today as long as it gets that #1!!!

I wonder how it will go in Australia today. It's got a real chance as she will be in the Main charts while wham, Carey etc will be in the legacy charts.

We will make it happen

We can download lots, it will get decent streaming from people who refuse to stream on Amazon etc.

I know the campaign this week has been hugely successful, but "top 10 in the 2nd year" isn't exactly the same tagline as "Christmas #1" so I'd be extremely shocked to see a fan campaign big enough to get XMAS as high as the top 10 next year (or even top 40). Its streams will be significantly lower given Amazon won't be pushing it so much.

I'm so nervous that Wham! are going to add loads of physicals from Andrew's meet & Greet signing from earlier in the week or there's multiple missing day's of Spotify data :/

Won't be relaxed until it's announced

Just my opinion. I think you underestimate Kylie, Christmas songs, its got a great video, why couldn't it.... it's still going to be on ACR. Amazon will still play it quite high up. we can download from Itunes etc.

Also gonna post while I'm here to say that the result MUST NOT be posted until it is announced on Radio 1 - not even hinted at. Doing this will risk a temporary ban from the site!

You're banking on Amazon rinsing it again, but there's years of evidence that they don't do this. None of the Amazon exclusives have reached the top 40 in a second year, and none have made a significant splash on other platforms either really. There's every chance it could re-enter the top 100, perhaps even a fan push could make it go top 40, but I think expecting it to reach the top 10 again is setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'm not disappointing myself. I'm saying I think it has a lot of longevity. Its different to many other Amazon artists and their songs. It's literally got XMAS in the title lol

Which didn't help Sam Ryder's You're Christmas to Me, Tom Grennan's It Can't Be Christmas, Jess Glynne's This Christmas or Lizzo's Someday at Christmas re-enter the top 40.

But they are not big Xmas stars and they do not promote them etc. Kylie team ain't stupid. I actually think Hot in Decemmay also get picked up.

None of those songs went to number 1 either.

I will happily watch how it does

Getting my last few Amazon streams in! To be honest, I can’t think of a single thing the Kylie campaign could’ve done better. The top or nearly the top of every major Amazon playlist. The first to play when you request “Christmas music” from Alexa; the 3 physicals with massive time to pre-order, the multiple downloads released across the week on her store and Amazon.

Really hats off to the team. I genuinely don’t think they could’ve done any more this week!

Let's just be present in the moment and focus on how it's performing now, not in 2026 x

Ellie Goulding's River went to #1 and did not re-enter the top 40. Justin Bieber has a huge Christmas hit every year, but his Amazon exclusive did not re-enter the top 40.

I'd love to be optimistic, perhaps Kylie can buck the trend, it would be amazing if she did! Unrealistic expectations don't help, though - if she could even go top 40 next year I'd be impressed. For now, I'll celebrate her being well on her way to a brand new #1, because that's far more pressing than worrying about next year.

Kylie’s above Wham! On Amazon music!!

1) Mariah

2) Kylie

3) Wham!

She’s coming for a potential 2 weeks at number 1 (with the Christmas Eve boost)
