Friday at 23:195 days Gabrielle for familiarity, even though I know it's a sample of Knockin' On Heaven's Door.
Friday at 23:285 days Vitamin C, surprised it was never pushed properly in the UK, it's one of many songs with a lovely use of Canon, love the very classical middle eight too.Sure I read somewhere once that the inspiration for Whole Again came from this song, they were trying to recreate the same kind of mid-tempo plod of it. So maybe Atomic Kitten's entire post-Kerry existence can be traced back to this song. One song definitely inspired by it that was a hit here is We Dance On by N-Dubz, same sample I know but the intros are also pretty similar, they use the source material in a very similar way.Rise is great, but it's going to get every other vote here and I didn't want Vitamin C to end on zero because it's a lovely, nostalgic piece. Friday at 23:365 days Author Vitamin C for me. I like some of Gabrielle's songs but that Vitamin C song was hugh the same time I was graduating from primary school. So it'll always hold a special place with me.
Monday at 10:202 days “Rise” very easily for me. A very tasteful sample, whereas the “Canon” sample is pretty naff for me.
