  • Going for Anastacia as it is a very good song, though Bob isn’t half bad for novelty. Am I being blind or is #5 missing?

  • Anastacia from these two by a clear margin but Bob's is fun for novelty sakes as a child.

  • Two songs with something in common - neither of them were playlisted by Radio 1! Guess I should go with Anastacia, although the song's just OK for me and Bob's isn't a bad novelty.

#5 is there. Rock DJ vs Say My Name.

It had an extended thread title as I included a poll for whether or not to continue on with these polls for 2001. :)

All previous polls, are on the second post of this one. :)

Anastacia gets my vote. I was never a fan of the Bob the Builder song, though I wasn't it's target audience I guess.

I do recall it stopping Westlife from getting the Christmas #1 though.

Wow, I didn't know Radio 1 never playlisted I'm Outta Love.

Perhaps related to this, both songs climbed in their second week in the UK Top 40. In fact only 6 songs did this in the whole of 2000, all of them climbing a single place from their debut positions.

Wow. That was pretty uncommon then wasn't it?

I didn't realise 'I'm Outta Love' was the number one single of the year in Australia!

Giving it to her of course.

I remember nothing from her big 2004 era got playlisted, but didn't realise this wasn't either. Did Anastasia never make the Radio 1 playlist at all then?

Commercial radio certainly made up for it with Anastacia, I still hear it multiple times a week now.

Going with I'm Outta Love, but her 2004 singles were my favourite of her career by far.

None of her 2001/02 singles were playlisted either, so I assume nothing of hers was.

Left Outside Alone is an absolute gem. My favourite from Anastacia and close to my favourite song of 2004.

'Left Outside Alone' is also my favourite Anastacia single. Part of the reason I went for 'Can We Fix It?'.

I wonder what their grudge against her was!

I know her music isn't exactly "contemporary" sounding but that's hardly stopped them in the past.

Was it an age thing? I seem to recall either her age not being commented on or not even mentioned at the time it was one of the two. Just not too sure.
