Posted November 20, 2025Nov 20 New film starring Charli with music by A. G. Cook out on 30 January 2026.Charli XCX dubbed the film "a 2024 period piece": "It's not a tour documentary or a concert film in any way, but the seed of the idea was conceived from this idea of being pressured to make one. It's fiction, but it's the realest depiction of the music industry that I've ever seen." She previously told Anna Peele of Vanity Fair that a tour documentary was one project that she had turned down during this period, feeling that the market was already saturated with similar projects. Describing its plot, Zamiri stated that the film explores what would have happened if the singer had made "entirely different choices" around her sixth studio album Brat (2024).
January 27Jan 27 Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to itand Kylie Jenner
February 9Feb 9 My local isn’t showing it, but the cinema where my sister lives is so might have to go, she won’t come with me though so I’ll have to go see it by myself 😂😭
Saturday at 10:493 days Booked in to see it tomorrow lunch time! It looked like my local cinemas weren't showing it either a couple of weeks ago but more showings came out on Tuesday this week. I've got an Odeon (which I'm seeing this at) and a Showcase.

Sunday at 20:162 days I enjoyed it. It had its funny moments and Charli was brilliant. No it's not ground breaking cinema but it was a fun watch, though I did lose sight of the plot a couple of times.
Sunday at 20:352 days I feel similar, I did generally enjoy the humour and references but would've liked the plot to have pushed everything a bit further and subverted my expectations more than it did, as the concept was an interesting one to play with. I loved the garish, off-kilter moments it did contain like the '365' remix scene and harsh transitional graphics throughout. It was criminal that the film didn't have more of her actual music in it (maybe an artistic decision to touch upon the fact that Brat became about more than just the music, with the commercialised themes present? idk) as the former scene got me so pumped for her bangers. I may have to spam the album again to make up for this even if she wants me to move on. Dw Charli, I'll go back to 'Chains of Love' afterwards.I agree her performance was pretty good in this. I appreciated the vulnerability she tapped into.
Yesterday at 21:221 day Just back from seeing it, I enjoyed it a lot! It wasn’t incredible but it was very good and a solid effort, I appreciate the different approach cos she easily could’ve just done a BTS + tour film like a lot of acts do so it was fun to have a different take on that!
