November 28, 2025Nov 28 Author Wasn't sure they'd add the new version of HVN. but seems they're still keen to support it. Good to see upwards movement for Robyn this far into her career. The 4.13 average means this is the stalest playlist since July (mostly due to the long-running entries for RAYE and Taylor, I wonder if they'll feel obliged to keep RAYE on there if she goes to #1 next week?)
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Nice to see Geese upped to the B List. Was Skye Newman on the Sound of List last year?
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Feels like it’s been a while since a song moved up after three weeks on the C-list.Nice to see Royel Otis still hanging in there, though surely this is their last week.Hoping Holly Humberstone will end up on the A-list. Edited November 28, 2025Nov 28 by J14C
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Maisie!!! I was a bit worried after they ignored ‘You You You’ and ‘Audrey Hepburn’ but the Marcus Mumford factor has obviously helped this one.
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Maisie! So happy to see her getting support this era, adore the track too! Marcus Mumford was so good on production
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Welcome back HAIven, hope this isn't really AI as must admit it's a bit of me.Shame Artemas, Oskar Med K and Turnstile never got higher than B-list. Great to see Robyn moving up!Was probably time for Dracula to go. Decent enough song but far from his best, I heard it four times on Wednesday but that was my fault for listening to BBC Radio 1 all day.Where Is My Husband! starting to feel a bit old now too. November 28, 2025Nov 28 A lot of long runners on the B list recently. Edited December 24, 2025Dec 24 by James.
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Annoying that Biffy Clyros best song in 15 years is looking like stalling in the B List this time, ‘Goodbye’ is an amazing track!

Even if it's probably Big Weekend-related. Edited November 28, 2025Nov 28 by HiyaLuv!

I'm sure there was a thread a while ago on the biggest songs snubbed by R1, not sure how easy it would be to find now though!EDIT: Not that difficult, it turns out! Here it is @Steve201: https://www.buzzjack.com/forums/topic/278606-songsartists-snubbed-by-radio-1/('Hips Don't Lie' the other big example) Edited November 29, 2025Nov 29 by Mangø

I haven’t found a lot of new music I want to listen to recently.
November 29, 2025Nov 29 Once we get to the first week of the new year we will get a lot of new songs by artists!
November 29, 2025Nov 29 I wish we could go back to like 2012 when the first week of the year was all of the night time DJs taking over the daytime and playing all of that new stuff which included revealing the Sound Of winners, what a time.
