There are non Christmas Christmas songs from UK artists that dont get the play these days either, like Stay Another Day by East 17, 2 Become 1 by the Spice Girls and Too Lost in You by Sugababes.

Christmas songs that are Christmas songs by happening to be Christmas number 1 or being in Christmas stuff. The Power of Love by Frankie Goes to Hollywood doesn't chart either

Kylie in with a small chance of staying top 20.

I hope Gwen Stefani can also stay top 40 but its looking unlikely and likewise with Madonna in the albums, she looks set to miss out.

People were actually believin Kylie would be no.1 too  lol

This isn’t the chart week they’re aiming for though?

Hasn't this charted almost every year recently? #53 last year.

It came out at Christmas and was in Love Actually so its a Christmas song by association.

I thought so. I checked the OCC but they are very confused

Echoing everyone else we're talking about Christmas week where she's at least going to be top 5!

Another one is Love Me Like You by Little Mix, they put it on the "Modern Christmas Mix" playlist on Spotify! :o

Are you sure you don't mean 'One I've Been Missing'? Because 'Love Me Like You' has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas!

They did release a Christmas mix at the time which is still on Spotify with added bells 🥲

Yeah definitely. I don't even know One I've Been Missing anyway.

I Wont Give Up by Kelly Clarkson is on it too. I can barely remember that song but also don't think it has anything to do with Christmas.

I always thought people consider One & One by Robert Miles as Xmas song too

Why is that? I loved the song but don’t even remember what month it was released.

One and One actually came out 4th November 1996, but was still hanging around the Top 10 by Xmas 1996.

Jeez, if that's the case we may as well start considering any song released in the last two months of the year as a Christmas single lol

I saw that video on the Official Charts website about that, I still don't think its a Christmas song rolleyes

I can see how it sounds vaguely Christmassy and obviously it was released around that time of year and suited the vibe, they obviously capitalised on that by releasing a version with added bells.

Actually why not? if someone connects particular melody with X-mas? or the definition of Christmas single is that a song must be Christmas theme song then it's a completely different story.
