I think it's too obvious to be Amanda - the editing was not subtle at all and they seem to want us not to know who it is. I'm interested to see how that goes - clearly has shaken the Traitors up at least. I wonder how they will play the game themselves too as surely they won't want to give away their identify at all, but in theory there's only so long until they know who they are.

  • Really good first episode, the secret traitor feels like a potentially excellent twist. Side note: Matthew was in my year at school, feels a little odd knowing someone on the show.

  • The wait for tonight has been agonising!

It feels so soon! But I guess that's because the Celeb version has only just finished. I'm rather looking forward to the civilian one

Agreed actually, the more the show went on, it seemed to go out of its way to suggest Amanda. Shots of her hanging around the Traitors or giving looks.

So I’d say it rules her out. It seems too obvious/ in your face editing wise. Probably someone that barely features at all

I wonder who the secret traitor is…

I wonder if there’s anymore family links. I’ve heard Stephen and Matthew are a couple.

I've followed Matt on Instagram for a while, he's not with Stephen

What a great episode that was. It's so great to have this back.

I also love the Secret Traitor twist. Personally I think it's Ross. (Think that's who I'm thinking of) It looked like it was someone tall with a big frame. Though that could just be the disguise/editing.

Oh, I was dead certain it's a woman oop

That was my first thought - but then they went so hard on including shots of her and then the chat with Stephen, that it makes me think its definitely not her now.

I’m probably wrong though. 😂

My suspects for secret Traitor are Fiona and Judy for opposite reasons. Fiona seemed to be acting like someone who was excitedly hiding a secret and couldn’t hide it very well. Judy seemed like someone who was trying to hide something and couldn’t relax - this could be her daughter being in the game, but it felt bigger than that. My third choice would be Jade because she also seemed a bit shell shocked at the table and was one of the only people who said they wanted to be a faithful, so that could be a reason to pick her for this. The handwriting on the Traitors murder shortlist looked like female writing to me.

Interesting that the theory of there being multiple family connections has appeared. When Roxy pulled Judy aside and Amanda was in the conversation too, my feeling was that they could both be her mums and maybe Judy and Amanda are a secret couple yet to be revealed. When I first saw the cast I actually felt like there were a lot of people who looked similar, so it’ll be interesting to see if this is true.

A lot of people think everyone in the cast is linked/related in some way because of the family tree thing which would be fun 😂

I think the secret traitor is definitely a woman but it's too soon to speculate for me

Also, did anyone clock Roxy shouting mum when they were rowing? That's a secret that's not going to be kept very long lol

3 fit young guys taking the seats on the throne, rather than help lift the chariots?

Bit of an odd move, especially when you know they're going to be shunted off them with the tokens

Ellie the secret traitor perhaps? Some of the breakfast shots got me wondering.

Lol at Sam basically herding everyone into banishing Judy, that'll put a target on his back.

Oh shit I forgot this was on at 8, I swear it used to be 9pm 😂

Its on at 7.45 tomorrow!

Sad to see Judy banished, she was giving in that episode bratcheeseblock

Fiona was giving secret traitor vibes tonight for me, but I don't know if that's just wishful thinking because of how iconic it'd be. Other than that no idea really.

Roxy should be wearing a sign saying ‘I’m Judy’s daughter’ every time she spoke to her in front of anyone else it felt like a daughter correcting her mum 😂 maybe it’d have been different if we didn’t know.

Poor Judy, I’d have liked to have seen more of her.

I was thinking Roxy for the secret traitor but I’m not sure now. Ellie is a shout, I didn’t notice her last night but did today. Could Harriet be playing the very best game though?

Real shame to lose Judy so soon, I do hope that makes them gang up on Sam, smarmy and arrogant, no thank you x I did feel when they showed her head turning like Linda last year that that's got to add up to something, and they wouldn't give away the secret traitor already.

I think my next guess was Jade for Secret Traitor, and I still think maybe as she got very flustered at the round table as if she'd been found out, but Ellie does seem a good shout too. Amanda I feel could be a misleading edit.

Jade was the only (shown) contestant to ask to be Faithful, I wonder if that's because by some coincidence, everyone else wanted to be a Traitor - applying to the show would generally self-select for those willing to be such and it's definitely a more reliable route to prominence. Either way I don't want to psychoanalyse too many people from the edit (Sam's edit is definitely villainising but his strategy, obnoxious as it is, is also an understandable way to play) but her aiming to play a quieter game as a Faithful and likely less confident than most of the mostly older (than her) cast seems entirely plausible to me.

Finding the Secret Traitor misdirection interesting, and it does allow the murders to feel more controlled and purposeful. Depends who it is and how it ends up so withholding too much judgement until later. Amanda's only doing a slightly better job of concealing her police background than she is her sexuality so I don't feel her, either.

Given the series opened with her and her also concealing her background, Harriet's had like 2 minutes of screen time across both episodes so far, I'm keeping an eye on her, when the producers decide to show her to us again.

I always forget their names at the start with a large cast, but you're right - my money is on Harriet as the secret traitor. I do think whoever it is is female and the shot they use of them is just an actor (or Ed Gamble).

Wonder what the family tree significance is? Wonder if later down the line that might come in to play during a task ala the board last year.
