Is Shaky doing better than last year? I don’t think it’s peaked top 10 since 2023 but it was clinging on at #10 in the mids yesterday! My favorite Christmas song by far, really hope it holds on!

+3.1% year on year for yesterday, which given a lot of the other songs are down is very good relatively speaking. That said Shaky does much better on Apple than Spotify so his year on year performance there is more important (not that we have any idea what that is really).

Echo the thoughts of hoping it stays top 10 tho

Not sure about other countries but in the UK, the totals of all versions are combined for the official chart

I wouldnt be suprised if amazon streams are up for the Christmas songs with the crazy Kylie stans subscribing amd them getting stray streams 🤣

Shaky is no2 on Apple currently but can’t remember if that’s higher than normal, it is usually top 5 though. It’s also impossible to know without the numbers how much they are doing, like is Mariah top 3 combined.

One thing is for sure their chart feels a lot more reflective of what the uks favourite Xmas songs are compared to Spotify.

Monday 8th Dec 2025 vs. Monday 9th Dec 2024:

Wham!: -6.7%

That’s the smallest year on year drop I’ve spotted for Wham! so far - this seems to be continuing to decrease. It just seems that people are getting into the Christmas spirit later.

Possibly although it dropping only 6.7% today is irrelevant if it’s back to being down 10% over next weekend when streams are up again. We’ll have to wait and see if it continues trending in the right direction over the rest of the week

Yes - I agree with that - but so far it seems like trend rather than a 1 off: and this goes for both overall sales as well as just Spotify.

Spotify Christmas Hits playlist

Now MC at one and LC at two

I’m sorry to bring it back here but LC is number one on German Midweek Charts published today so it seems the second version counts because LC has a huge lead in total streams on Spotify there

Why is Hit Em Up suddenly popular?

Probably the Sean Combs documentary, it's pretty much confirmed there that he had 2Pac killed

Hope Diana Ross takes over from Tiffany as the big Stranger Things song after Xmas!

Ah! But Tiffany is also in the film ‘Pillion’ that is showing at the moment.

Yes it’s in Pillion but it ain’t exactly doing too well at the box office

"CHANEL" is gearing up quite nicely to be a big hit in the new year. Creeping up Apple music despite all the Christmas songs - now up to #108 (Also #108 on UK spotify today!). It looks like it may become Tyla's 2nd biggest hit after "Water". The music video is now doing over 1 million views/day globally now. Also up to a new peak of #24 on global spotify - could go top 10 there in the new year!

Edit: Up to #254 on Amazon as well with a lot of Christmas songs ahead. Rising slowly but surely on all streaming platforms at the same time which is nice!

Seems similar to what PUSH 2 START was doing this time last year which didn’t really kick on tbh

It's doing much better than "PUSH 2 START" globally. That only peaked at #52 on global spotify! "CHANEL" has also charted higher in some countries already. Certainly feeling more positive for "CHANEL". For reference "PUSH 2 START" peaked at #26 on UK spotify on 6/1/24 when all the Christmas/New Year boosts were gone.

It's not exactly a movie for mass audiences though.
