All except LC and XMAS should be out of top 40 by Friday. They are doing like 50k on Spotify (ACR) and dropping like a stone every day.

All of them will benefit from a massive overestimate for their streams on New Year’s Day. Would expect Mariah at least to make it

  • And as ever we don’t necessarily even know what order they’re really in on Spotify because they might have different premium to free proportions.

  • All too often in this group we have focused too much on Spotify, and then being surprised that the songs doing best on Spotify aren’t always number 1. On Amazon it’s Golden followed by Man I Need. A

  • So that's basically resets confirmed for The Fate of Ophelia, WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! and So Easy (To Fall in Love), but not Man I Need or Golden, as expected.

I really don’t get why Taylor’s been reset? I feel like the label must have asked either that or the occ really do make it up as they along.

Hoping Die on this Hill keeps climbing, I have a hunch it might eventually get to the top in the new year.

For the same reasons Raye , Olivia (not MIN though) and everyone else gotr eset 🤭

And before anyone gets pissy I havent even listened to either TFOO or opalite this week, my Taylor listens have pretty much all gone to NYD, why can't the swifties support the festive tracks more 🤣🤣🤣

The ACR rules post Christmas don't really work. They are meant to flush out old tracks but after Christmas it resets the chart to a month ago.

Oh I could have sworn there was discussion that given TFOO went to ACR right before December it wouldn’t get reset? Maybe I’m remembering it wrong.

That’s right. If it had been released a week earlier, it would’ve gone ACR end of November and still be on ACR now

Well boo hoo it didnt 🤣🤣

One thing I’d like to see next year is Taylor Swift not releasing an album. Last time she didn’t release an album was 2018. Not even Covid stopped her from releasing an album

If the charts were by your rules everything would only be allowed to chart for a maximum of 3 weeks 🤣

Whilst I agree it would ideally be nice to have a break of at least two years, if anything Folklore was made because of COVID (and arguably is what elevated her to the position she's in now)

My rules would be

No resets after Christmas unless a song gets a 50% increase

Any song under 3 years old will need a 50% increase to get reset

Streaming will be removed from Christmas songs that are over 3 years old

Streaming will be removed from all compilations

Album tracks will be removed from the singles chart

People complained when Ed Sheeran was releasing albums every so often

Just now, 777666jason said:

You just complain at everything 🤣

I didn’t complain about Ed releasing albums all the time. I’ll take him over Taylor any day

He started declining after =. Before that, he was going number 1 all the time and selling bucket loads

He's a legacy act theses day so what , divide sold more than play and multiply and equals would of done well enough for silver certs this year alone not to mention his greatest hits
