I just love doing the certifications and observing the charts. It pleases my little, autistic brain.

I'll be continuing to do the certifications every Friday. It'll be a nice distraction.

Highlights

Fleetwood Mac -Landslide (3XP)

Billy Idol -Rebel Yell (Gold)

Not many this week for me:

PLATINUM & MULTI-PLATINUM :plat:

Elton John - Rocket Man (4x)

Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding - Outside (3x)

Fleetwood Mac - Landslide (3x)

Looks like there has been an issue with the Howlin For You certifications, where it already had a silver one under Howlin’ For You in 2018 - should be over 400k combined.

Not surprising as there weren’t as many certifications as usual this week.

Anyone know why “Goodnight Girl” has been awarded Silver when it already had done so back in ‘92?

It was certified Silver again due to the current certifications being from February 1994 onwards.

It actually wasn't certified at all in 1992. Most likely reason - record company indifference to a mere silver single from a platinum (and ultimately higher) certified album.
