I'm talking about her image as an artist, not a specific song. Nobody knew this girl till yesterday, and out of nowhere she's at the top of the charts, and they want to convince me it's all organic when her first album was a colossal flop. No doubt her label had to send some checks around to finally make her break into the industry...

Get over yourself image edsheeran looks as basic as hell yet he is having hit singles and albums over 15 years into a career 🤣🤣

Mediocre artists have an expiration date, unless you're Taylor Swift. Ed Sheeran is far from his peak now and is struggling to sell. Alex Warren, whom you all hate so much in this forum, has a much greater vocal power than Olivia Dean, but of course the basic girl will be defended by gays, to fit into your woke agenda.

I know you're literally trolling and there's no point in engaging but if her first album had done better you'd just shift to saying that was the overnight success. As it is, the fact that the first album was a ""colossal flop"" (still made the top 5 btw) and she then had a few successively more successful singles last year slowly building up to 'Man I Need' being a #1 is quite distinctly not an "overnight success". How slow does an artist's rise need to be to not be evidence of industry plant status? x

Gaga could sell crumbs and still be the most talented living artist, still selling out shows and winning Grammys but she always sells well because she has a loyal audience. Anomalies like the ASIB era only happen once in an artist's career, so it's not a demerit that she doesn't always sell at that level although her best-selling album remains her debut. I recognize talent when I see it, unlike basic bitches who are products of record labels and who blow up through a lot of backstage bribery after their first attempt fails. No TikTok artist will become a legend of Gaga's caliber (or a legend at all), she was the last one to manage to enter the pantheon of the music industry, so look for another target.

By your logic Gaga is one of the biggest industry plants ever 🤣🤣 she literally went theatre school went from record company to record company before making it big 🤣🤣

Funniest part of it all Gaga is a huge supporter of all "these industry plants" you target 🤣

Knocking on record label doors until you make it is different from being signed to a record label and shooting in all directions until you succeed.

And Gaga isn't the saint you see in photos, interviews, and award shows. Nobody knew she hated Katy until her texts with Kesha about the Dr. Luke drama leaked. I'm sure no TikTok artist has ever impressed Gaga, maybe Chappell, and that's it.

Katy Perry had a habit of rubbing a lot of artists the wrong way big deal not everyone will get on with everyone all the time

Just based on the sales figures we get given on Buzzjack, there’s a high chance that ‘Landslide’ increased its streaming sales this week by my estimation (and it definitely increased its streams marginally on Spotify). So I reckon it’s back to SCR.

With RAYE and Dave both on DCL-3, Bad Bunny will most likely get number 1 next week. I hope it’s either that or So Easy. Rein Me In needs to piss off

Bad Bunny will likely drop during the week no?

It might be close. He was ahead of "Rein Me In" on Friday's spotify streams and has been ahead on apple still. Hoping he holds up well. Either way he should get a new peak I would think!

But the streaming charts have never reflected how well ‘Rein Me In’ is doing - as the Sam Fender solo version is typically not included in those charts, but is included in the OCC figure.

Therefore, it has always been an unpredictable track.

I forgot there was a solo version of the song! Nevermind then looks like Bad Bunny has no chance of #1 - but hopefully a new peak at #3 or even #2?

There is a solo version of Rein Me In but I doubt anyone’s bothering with it. They’re more focused on the Olivia version

According to Kworb the solo version is currently getting ~34k Spotify streams per day (not all from the UK but the majority will be), which is a bit less than I'd have guessed. Although there is also just a shorter edit of the Olivia version which is getting ~129k per day so that's more the culprit for the song being more popular than it looks just from the main version on Spotify. (And just for completeness there are also 2 different live versions of the Olivia version which get ~18k and ~4k per day).
