January 12Jan 12 Looking forward to this! Although on first glance, there will have to be something absolutely extraordinary in there for me to not already know where my 12 is heading <3
January 12Jan 12 Saint Etienne again I did wonder if someone might send that one. No one found a Pet Shop Boys song fitting the theme though!
January 12Jan 12 When I was struggling for an entry I was sooooo tempted to send a Pet Shop Boys track, sort of wish I had done now

January 12Jan 12 Thanks for putting the Spotify playlist together, Wardy. Are the songs by Out Of Order and Juniper not on Spotify? There seem to be 15 acts called Out Of Order on there so I can see how it would be difficult to find the right one.
January 12Jan 12 This should be fun, there are two tracks on there that were on my shortlist too. I'm curious tofind out who sent them in.

Would be nice to have all the songs together on that playlist otherwise.

January 12Jan 12 I’m so glad I changed my entry Love quite a few of those already, and looking forward to listen to the rest!!!
January 13Jan 13 My first thought when the theme came up was that ABBA might make their debut in these contests with “Soldiers”.
January 13Jan 13 Saint Etienne are really fast becoming the new Pet Shop Boys...I know most of the artists here but the only song I have heard to my knowledge is the Tori Amos one, from the same album as recent BJSC entry 'Spark' which I listened to as a SyncTube session on here before - 'Hotel' was my favourite on the album at that time so looking forward to revisiting!I very nearly sent a near 15 minute song to this which I see would have been the longest by far decided to keep looking though and found something else but perhaps I can keep that other song in my pocket for if a moment arises where I feel like going full #longsongbloc x
January 13Jan 13 Well I never knew the original Weekend covered by Scooter so thanks to ever sent that one in! (Although what happened to Wind? )
January 13Jan 13 Well done everyone, not a single track I know well, and only 2 or 3 that I've heard maybe once or twice!Abba's Soldiers, Eagle, Tiger, Bumblebee and Pet Shop Boys' Integral, Legacy, Footsteps, could quite easily have been in this contest but I wouldnt wish to be any more predictable. 😇Not to mention The Beatles' Rain, Girl, Because. None of them would have leapfrogged the obscure 1970 kiddie fave I'm saving up though 😄

January 13Jan 13 Portishead's Dummy is an incredible album and was my foray into trip-hop, even if many artists reject that label, including Portishead themselves I think (also the term has become even more vague and convoluted in my opinion), so 'Biscuit' will no doubt be a highlight among these for me.I also know several of the other songs, but mostly I just know the artists and not these particular songs.

January 13Jan 13 Actually I was also veeery briefly considering 'Cowboys' off their self-titled second album (btw, when an album is self-titled I find that incredibly boring and almost frustrating lmao 😆) which is a cool song but it was just a momentary thought really as I did look at a very large amount of artists' discographies for this lol. It was a ride is all I have to say.
