Tori's gazillionth album In Times of Dragons is due out on May 1st.

In Times of Dragons is a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny, reflecting the current abhorrent non-accidental burning down of democracy in real time by the ‘Dictator believing Lizard Demons’ in their usurpation of America.”

This is also a good chance to mention that the accompanying album for her children's book, The Music of Tori and the Muses that was released last year is actually quite good too and definitely not just for kids! Not that different from her usual sound. 'Mermaid Muse Speaks' is brilliant and probably one of her most unexpectedly intriguing songs of recent times:

Yes, very eerie! The rest of the album is not like that mind you. This was the standout on it for me though (I haven't listened in a lil while now).

I think the album cover is better than Unrepentant Geraldines at least. Love that album btw! A lot of people didn't get it for some reason, not necessarily on here but more generally.

Terrible album cover. Bad font. Bad wardrobe. Concept not great.

I lover Oysters and America. Promise was good too.

Well this is a cute little ditty!

Similarly to Björk (who's of a similar age), her voice has definitely become thinner and more 'limited', but that shouldn't be a criticism as it's natural, especially considering the amount of time they have spent singing (and Björk had an operation for a nodule on her vocal chords years ago). As a fan, it's just something for me to accept as time goes by.
