For the Platinum Paige round, how does one decides who to vote for?!!!

Like do I vote for the artist that I know still has a lot to offer, or am I voting solely for the song they're competing in next round?!!

It should be on song choice, no?

I have ideas on who I expect to vote for but if they bring a dud I’ll mark them down. 😅

You should be voting on the quality of the songs themselves

But seriously, that is still so fresh in people's mind, that I could totally see it winning!!!

A shame to see Erasure, Nik Kershaw and Blondie go out in that round. I agree that Blondie have many songs that are better than One Way Or Another. They might have a chance of winning the Platinum Paige round.

Some absolutely great songs eliminated that round.

Looking forward to seeing what the competition throws up this next eound.

Yeah there’s a Blondie track that if used I can see winning tbf!

Oh wow Nelly and Kelly were both comfortably winning their rounds!

The Weekend and Blondie not even close in their battles.

The Weekend with the equal biggest defeat to is a surprise.

Conan put up a good fight against Scissor Sisters then Erasure v David Bowie being so close too.

Yeah that's a shame to see Conan lost out by so little.

Surprised to see Blondie lose by so much... and the Weeknd too!

Lol some of the easiest decisions that I made ended up losing comfortably... (I 'only' voted for 5 of the losers but that includes no-brainer votes for Kesha and George Michael, I suppose I should have seen the former coming - I'm not a fan of Kelly but I know she and especially this song is very popular here - but George not even coming close to Atomic Kitten is outrageous). Disappointing to see Blondie not being close as well, thought that was a competitive matchup there. And Fred again.. but that one was never going to go any other way x The closest loser that I backed was Nik Kershaw but honestly I wasn't that keen on either his song or Troye's. We're not getting the best song picks from Troye in general so far.

I am also not much of an ABBA fan whereas I generally really like The Weeknd but that was pitting ABBA's one undeniable fantastic song against a song I always thought was only ok from The Weeknd and that got really old from overplay. So that is unfortunately a deserved outcome there. Scissor Sisters and HAIM were easy picks for me so glad they prevailed even if closer than I'd have liked, Bowie vs. Erasure was closer but I did vote for Bowie as well. Chappell vs. ROSALÍA was just cruel, Chappell is going to run out of viable songs in this pretty soon you'd think and she's now burnt through both of the songs I really love from her + I obviously really want ROSALÍA to stay in this (cmon wildcard xx) but... 'The Subway' was the better song here oop ~

There only being one wildcard slot is brutal when there are multiple artists that have lost out in this round due to bad luck with the random draw more than anything else, can't we have more than one and then just have some more double eliminations in the live show rounds xx

If, hypothetically, we have three artists win the Platinum Paije and return to the competition... it could work but it would mean every live show is a double elimination.

So what do the people want? (disclaimer though: won't entertain the idea of extending the duration of the competition xx)

Just give the wildcards to ROSALÍA, Nadia Oh and Girlicious and be done with it, we don't need to go through the motions of another round xo

(seriously though I wouldn't be opposed to that idea...! but don't want to upend your plans if it'd cause hassle x)
