Fantastic Scissor Sisters choice there! Not one I cared for at the time of release but the years have done it wonders. HAIM has another fantastic selection here - one of my absolute favourites from them! The Chicks continue to surprise me in the best way - am I becoming a fan? Another solid choice there from Blondie and one I'm not super familiar with *adds to 70s playlist* - while I still think ABBA are the frontrunners for the groups category, Blondie are showing up!!! Speaking of ABBA, another fab deep cut from them! Erasure delivering another strong entry as well! I like both The Corrs and the Kittens choices so it seems wrong to rank them 7th and 8th but it's a very strong round! If You Come to Me in particular is a marked improvement on The Tide Is High for me and a standout on their Ladies Night album. There are 3 particular AK songs that would definitely get high points from me so I'm intrigued to see if they get chosen. F+TM and Ace of Base not really aligning with my tastes as much this round but I'm sure that won't be the case for long. Not feeling The 1975 and Girlicious choices.

Would defo echo Scene’s comments about Scissor Sisters. I liked it at the time but love it even more now. I think it helps learning what the song is about and as a queer person it really resonates

Hmm I think both Girlicious and The 1975 would be more at risk of elimination before ABBA this round.

As I said when the songs were announced, the groups are once again the most competitive category!

That top 3!!! So glad The Chicks bucked up their ideas with this round and sent this banger… I’m still holding out hope for a Gaslighter era song from them! And the FATM pick is such an underrated gem!

I think Girlicious are becoming my fav discovery of this category! Both songs went straight into my bops!

Honestly it’s a shame we’ll lose some of these groups before most of the men because that group is…weak.

That top 2 is insanely good. Not Ready to Make Nice is iconic on so many levels and QoP is my favourite Florence song. Really strong selection overall. I’m surprised I never heard that Scissor Sisters song, it seems to have been a hit.

Enjoyed my listen through, didn't dislike anything. If You Come to Me is towards the top of my favourite Atomic Kitten songs, so that was a very nice choice. I don't believe I'd heard that song by The Chicks before, really good!

Definitely one of The Chicks best ever songs, great week for them. Also love AK, Blondie, SS, Girlicious ans Corrs entries. First time hearing Erasures - really like it. Florence one is decent, as is ABBAs however probably one of ABBAs worst in such a strong catalogue.
