Top 6 are all great, two album highlights and Not Ready to Make Nice is a classic with a great story behind it, the Erasure song was also good discovery.

Not top-tier ABBA or 1975 there sorry!

 

This is such a strong round

1. The Chicks - this is one of my all time fave songs. Love the story behind it and the message (Shut Up & Sing is an amazing documentary)

2. Scissor Sisters - once I learnt what this song was about it made it even more powerful for me personally

3. Ace of Base - superb pop song and so infectious

4. The Corrs - great song from early in their career

5. Abba - know this because of Abba dance on the Wii. It’s a grower

6. Haim - their vocals always shine

7. Atomic Kitten - subtle beauty

8. Florence - another grower

9. Blondie - solid song from them

10. The 1975 - great instrumentation, chorus could be bigger

11. Erasure - love the vocals, song could be bigger

12. Girlicious - like but don’t love, found the vocals distracting

I didn't recall how 'Queen Of Peace' went from the title but came back to me when I heard it again, another fab pick there. Erasure was another very good discovery! The Corrs I also didn't recognise from the title but sounded familiar, p good ~ the ABBA song isn't as good as the one from last week but still better than I expected from an ABBA album track. The Chicks song definitely better than their first one but still not really my thing unforch. Bad song choice for The 1975 there.
