Biography

A singer and songwriter whose sweetly sad tunes are warm and emotionally open, Myles Smith blends the gentle passion of his vocals with music that incorporates elements of contemporary folk, indie pop, and a dash of Americana. After finding an audience through social media, he developed an international following with the 2024 EP A Minute... and its break-out hit single, "Stargazing." The companion, A Minute, A Moment..., arrived in 2025, yielding the hit "Gold." Smith kept up his momentum with the upbeat 2026 track "Stay (If You Wanna Dance)." - Apple Music

This song's pleasant, I think I like it more than Myles' other hits but Niall is definitely a part of that (still pretty bland though).

Hope this doesn't stick around, more boring flavourless stuff that I'm sure people wouldn't care about if Niall wasn't involved

I am liking Drive Safe.

It's a bit middle-of-the-road stuff, but pleasant.

Well this is certainly a Myles Smith song…

With a That's So True chord progression

We haven't seen this guy (Dominic Fike) since 3 Nights back in 2019 - when I was using crappy tape gear (namely a Goodman's double cassette deck, with a tape to MP3 adaptor plugged into the web player on one playback deck and the blank tape on the record deck).

No, he made the top 40 in 2024 with 'Misses'

Ah hopefully the Comic Relief challenge doesn't clash with the chart this year

EDIT: jinxed it

Biography

A sensitive troubadour for the age of social media, Sombr places equal emphasis on sound and soul-baring lyrics. "Caroline," the viral hit that helped the singer/songwriter escalate from indie status to a major label while he was still in his teens, relied on cinematic vistas and rolling harmonies as much as his dramatic vocals. By the time he released the EP In Another Life in 2023, Sombr was collaborating with Tony Berg -- a producer known for his work with Phoebe Bridgers and Michael Penn -- and opening up his music in ways he continued to explore on the 2024 single "In Your Arms" and his 2025 Top 40 hit "Undressed." After landing another Top 40 hit with "Back to Friends," he made his full-length debut in 2025 with the breakup-themed I Barely Know Her. - Apple Music

Biography

Tame Impala transformed psychedelic rock—and 21st century pop—in such an impactful way that even Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Kanye couldn’t resist the band's influence. The brainchild of Australian musician Kevin Parker, Tame Impala serve as both a blistering and blissed-out exercise in expansion—of sound, space, and the mind. “I’m the most creative when I’m uncomfortable,” Parker told Apple Music. “The idea of doing what I’m already good at is boring because it’s always gotta be a little bit frightening.” That fear has been a powerful motivator for Parker, who started Tame Impala in 2007 from his Perth home. His appetite for guitar experimentation—powered by an arsenal of reverb, phaser, delay, and fuzz pedals—made his 2010 debut album, InnerSpeaker, one of the year’s standout indie releases. On 2012’s Lonerism, he loaded up on synths, found inspiration in Todd Rundgren, and locked into woozy pop grooves made of both dreams (“Be Above It”) and nightmares (“Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”). He also got far more personal. As Parker has looked further inward, his music—and musical circle—has continued to expand outward. By the mid-2010s, he was collaborating with Mark Ronson, producing Gaga, and inspiring Rihanna (who covered “New Person, Same Old Mistakes”). But Tame Impala has remained his “sacred space,” an outlet that has allowed him to embrace funk (2015’s Currents), dance music (2020’s The Slow Rush), and all the infinite possibilities yet to be discovered. - Apple Music

Miles smith continues to release a new version of the same song every time 😭 so bland. It’s harmless but nothing special at all. It’s like a plate of boiled chicken and microwaved white rice
