What you think about a song like this? Got its own car and spend it own money

The song is fun and energetic and, witht he right staging, it will stand out, and that's what will get people voting for it a bit. It won't get jury votes becsuse it"s not a big vocals song. I can also see Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Denmark giving iy big telepoints too

Well I hope your enthusiasm pays off! happy

I really don't see the problem with "nobodies", it's always the song, not the act, and you hearing of people does not mean they don't have talent. That you never heard of him doesn't mean he's a nobod

  • This year also has the additional notion that anyone with a fan base would surely just be making themselves a lamb to the slaughter, given many are boycotting this year due to Israel’s participation.

Who exactly had heard of Kalush, Nemo, JJ before Eurovision? Case closed.

The lack of BBC support for this song is deafening… no interviews, performances, radio play?

No radio play is silly though, once again can't expect anyone across the continent to vote for it if no one back home cares or even knows about it.

Doesn't really strike me as a radio song, and doesn't seem like an outlier for the BBC as much as they should be supporting entries more. If it's to have any success, it's the type of entry that pops well on the night.

I'd be more concerned if when the rehearsals start the stage show looks lacklustre.

Can you blame them? 👀

Regardless of the song usually the BBC promote it via interviews etc., - if nothing else to get viewers for Eurovision.

Maybe its just this year they are going low profile because of the boycotts.

There will be some votes from germany 😉

The clip of the performance is just... cringe.

Like, there is not many other words to use for it. It is being absolutely slated by the fans around Europe again. This will be a very solid last place for us.

I can see us getting first half then being put on first to open the show with something upbeat and get it out the way.

This is (imo) our worst we have sent since 2019 and that's one of my least favourites of all time. (Yes I know there is Embers, but I really don't think that song is TERRIBLE, I just think everything along with it like staging etc was rubbish).

Look Mum No Computer is an excellent choice of artist if he wasn’t stuck with a Swedish writing camp reject of a song. Also going back to artists with no record label means there is no budget for the staging and ends up being quite amateurish. With Sam Ryder, Mae Muller and Olly Alexander you could tell a major label was behind it.

I mean I love Mae and the song but the staging didn’t give ‘major label’ backing!

I guess his whole aesthetic is DIY, so the budget kind of look will hopefully come across as organic and homemade rather than budget and tacky. But the BBC have form unfortunately, give them a couple of props and they tend to use them in the worst looking way possible. The clip I've seen doesn't look very promising.

Watched the performance and it was staged well but i tired of the song quickly as its overly repetitive in the last 30-45 seconds but i would still place it top 10 in my own rankings.

Loved the performance and energy and Sam is such a genuine likable character.

In a pretty bland year a bit of Eurovision wackiness is welcome, really hope he gets a Top 10 result but as always I won’t hold out too much hope.

It took a few listens to click but it's definitely my fave UK entry since Children Of The Universe.

My first thought is we need the national finals back. But then I thought knowing the British public at the moment they would vote through an English nationalist/ Reform/far right supporting entry!
