I barely ever know that many songs already, but Mount Palomar and Smerz were just on my radar through 6Music and various EOY 2025 lists, same with Out of My Head last time x

Would prefer Sunday or early next week for a listenthrough x

I had heard 13 artists before this contest: (some I didn't immediately remember their names but then I realized I had heard one of their songs before)

Chrissy Chlapecka, Tóth Gabi, Jerry Heil, Goodnight Louisa, Mount Palomar, Indira Paganotto, Niteworks, Дeva, Maiah Manser, Haute & Freddy, Montaigne (I think, the name sounds familiar), ALT BLK ERA and Kylie/Shaggy (Kylie, I know, I'm really into underground artists).

The name Keli Holiday kind of seems familiar to me, but I might be imagining that so I won't include them.

(A number of them were entered in another song contest I take part in, a few of them came up in the past while looking for songs to enter. Goodnight Louisa I discovered through BJSC two editions ago)

Apart from the recycled previous entrants, I’m only aware of Autre Ne Veut. Scared to give his latest album a listen because it’s been so long since The Age of Transparency and I don’t want to get disappointed. :’)

I think I have heard at least one song before from about half of the artists in this contest, although the majority of those are just from them having appeared in BJSC / other song contests already before.

Keli Holiday has been in BJSC before as a solo artist but is maybe better known for being a member of Peking Duk. Also 2charm is a couple of members of Cub Sport and Titanic is a duo of which one half is recent FSR Rontvia artist Mabe Fratti. (And as I already posted, Chelsey Crowley is the singer from Nuovo Testamento, while Kontravoid was also sent before as a member of Parallels)

I was also thinking to do the listenthroughs on possibly Sunday and Monday

Made recap videos using a recap generating tool that a friend from another song contest made. (He said it was free to use for anyone)

It works by trying to find a chorus in each song and then choosing a snippet based on that. So hopefully every song got a good snippet. (it seems like it made good choices overall to me)

Seven songs I had to enter timestamps manually as it couldn't detect a chorus: Mothertopia, Baleghde, Cumulonimbia, Aeroche, Jadakissnia, Neliönoir and Trifoski. (I'm not really sure why it couldn't pick up the Jennifer Aniston one but oh well)

As apparently I have a good ear for these things, Sabrewulf asked me for a hand coming up with the snippets for Trifoski and Neliönoir So if you guys don't like your snippets, blame me xo

I also gave a suggestion for Jadakissnia's one but Sabrewulf went with his own choice for that, which might have been the better one indeed.

Omg, I listened to the recap of my second semifinal and it’s phenomenal! I don’t know if the recap has something to do with it, but every single song sounds competitive to me! 😮

That programme has completely missed the chorus of "Death of Me" so I am therefore declaring it AI slopflop.

Also, chorusless songs? Jobless behaviour.

honestly good work detecting a 'chorus' in my song because that's better than I can do, it's all about the progression and vibes you get from listening in full~
