BOOT CAMP: PART TWO

THE DEEPEST OF CUTS

SOLO FEMALE

Boot Camp: Part Two awaits, and for three unlucky artists - Nadia Oh, Guitarricadelafuente and Ace of Base - they've been left in the wild wondering if they'll ever be found again. But for the remaining artists, there's a glimmer of hope. Just a short trek away are vital resources to refuel the spacecraft and continue on the mission to find Lady BuzzJack and return her to the homepage before time runs out and her captor makes her disappear forever. There are limited resources though, and only those that come across them will be able to board the spacecraft again, while three more artists will be left behind on this picturesque planet. It's time to welcome back the solo female artists, once again, to the stage to perform for you, the voting BuzzJack public. And this time, they've dug deep.

How it works:

Once you have listened to all of the artists perform you should post a ranking of each of the performances. You can rank them from best to worst (making clear which is your favourite down to least favourite), or use the template below:

01 (favourite)

02

03

04

05

06

07

08

09

10 (least favourite)

For those voting who have entered one of the artists into the competition, you should rank all ten performances in your own category (however it's encouraged that you vote in both other categories), and when totalling up scores your entry will be removed from the list to retain anonymity in the competition.

As always, even if you are not competing in The Pop Factor you can vote too!

When voting closes, the nine female soloists with the highest scores will jump back on board Pop Fleet 26 and set flight for Judges' Houses while ONE of the females will be eliminated from the competition and will not be going through.

IMPORTANT:

The Rebecca Ferguson Lobster of Resurrection is in play this round, and if whomever holds it ends the round in 10th place they will not be eliminated from the competition. Instead, the artist that ends the round in 9th place will be eliminated.

Voting will close on Monday 2 March 2026, 17:59 GMT

Let's say hello to the artists again and find out what they consider to be THE DEEPEST OF CUTS...

Delta has some incredible album tracks on both Mistaken Identity and Innocent Eyes, so it’s great to see one of them get there moment here. Actually some of the b-sides from those eras are great too.

Lily is the only song i know and i love it !!

There's so many songs from WEG that could've been used; Dallas Major/ 4Shan Stan/ Beg For Me

I’m only properly familiar with Lily and Chappell’s songs. I should know the Nelly one as I had that album for years but can’t remember it. Kelly’s song title is familiar but unsure if I’ve heard it. A lot of (re-)discoveries!

Kelly and Chappells songs are two of my all time favourite songs! Top two already locked in for me there !

Yea that Chappell song is stunning, such an underrated gem so I'm glad it's getting a chance for some love here! I know Kelly and Kesha's songs as well, love both 🥰

I only know Rosalia and Twigs’ songs. Both amazing of course so it’s a race for 3rd place in this category x

The ladies have gone serious this round and then Kesha comes on 🤣🤣

Lily and Delta are the only ones I’m very familiar with.

I vaguely remember Nelly, Kelly and Kesha so it’ll be nice to re-listen to them.

I own six of the 10 albums these are on so very familiar with them. Electric Storm <3 I saw Delta perform that live last year for the first time and it truly was an epic.

Tennis is so good, and My December was such a criminally underrated album, glad to see a track from that sent here as Breakaway would be so easy to keep mining.

Great choices from Lily, Kesha and Delta! The rest I'm not familiar with but I will be by this time tomorrow...

I know Lily, ROSALÍA, Chappell, Kelly, Kesha, Nelly Furtado and FKA Twigs.

One of my least fave Chappell songs… I mean it’s nice but I think it might get swallowed up…! I wonder of they have the lobster?

I don't think Chappell is holding the lobster. Looking at the Midwest Princess wiki page, nearly all of the album favourites ended up being singles so Picture You would arguably be a smart option to play here? 🤷‍♂️

If I was Chappell, I’d have gone for After Midnight, as that’s in my top three of ALL her songs.

At least it's not something like California. kink

Lily was really spoilt for choice this round with the entirety of West End Girl and the likes of Knock 'Em Out and Friday Night in the vault. Smart choice going for a WEG track even if it's more of a shallow cut atm. sarah

Initial thoughts after listening to the ladies:

Tennis - very familiar with this one. kink great choice - my favourite Lily entry so far!

Sex & Cigarettes - I think this could get swallowed up in the mix tbh. Lobster? 👀

TA, I, SE, TSU Pile up - already sounds better to my ears than her previous entries.

Judas - great to see some My December representation, this is a fab track!

Electric Storm - really enjoyed this on first listen, well-crafted pop!

Divinize - not usually my thing but it has appealing moments.

Picture You - probably my favourite ballad moment on TRAFOAMP. wub Her voice is gorgeous on it.

Cannibal - ngl I was hoping I would like this more than I did, maybe it's a grower. 🤷‍♂️

Wait For You - I need to familiarise myself with this one more

Kicks - again, not usually my thing so need to spend more time with this.
