February 27Feb 27 Thanks - ok I don't feel that guilty about A-Konohagakure now, would have needed to give them 10 or 12 to qualify and that was never on the cards x (could maybe have moved them to 6 at a push).Q streak will be coming when I have my spreadsheet updated again x
February 27Feb 27 One thing I will say to @Iz様 🌟 please continue to stay true to yourself and sending music that resonates with you because by doing so you're giving all of our ears a good clean and we are also being educated at the same time to expand our palette. You'll be back stronger next time for sure and was very close to taking my extra point if I had not made a last minute point swap with another entry.

February 28Feb 28 YAY! I was cautiously optimistic (I almost never expect to qualify but this time it seemed like there was a chance) but Semi 1 was so risky for most of us due to reasons already mentioned...thank you!And 9/10 of my Semi 1 votes actually qualified so I'm not quite as devastated as everyone else Pestolia was a big loss though, underrated! Thanks Sabrewulf for hosting, looking forward to the final
February 28Feb 28 Author Something I'm not sure if people noticed, but Cumulonimbia and Terra Avium got the exact same points, same number of voters and the exact same point spread in the semis. So (and I'm assuming it works like this in BJSC I'm not 100% sure, I'm sure Bror could tell us) Cumulonimbia won the tiebreak because it's name comes first alphabetically. (that's how I judged it anyway)I'm glad that wasn't a 20th/21st situation tbh because that would have been a brutal reason to not qualify.(Maybe this is more common in BJSC than I think but it seemed notable to me)
February 28Feb 28 I did not notice that and, at least as far as contests that we have the data for, that has literally never happened before. Huh!There isn't a further tiebreak criterion beyond that (I don't think it would ever have been anticipated we'd need one) so I guess they are just both 23rd.

February 28Feb 28 I think in that case maybe they would just both qualify rather than one having the advantage of being alphabetically first 😆
February 28Feb 28 Across the entire history of the contest (up to 180 as my spreadsheet doesn't have 181's data yet, will work on it soon #strike) there are only two pairs of songs that had identical voting distributions in finals (and only one pair that also had the same number of points, as one of them is comparing contests with different voting systems).DREAMS COME TRUE - PEACE! {Isconia XXX; 30}Mary J. Blige - Kitchen {Simondly XXIII; 30}^ both were ranked 4th by one country and got no other points (DCT getting one 12, MJB getting one 7)Flight Facilities - Stand Still (feat. Micky Green) {Ingermanlandia LXI; 31}Ryuichi Kawamura - Nē {Kingdom of Waldia III; 20}^ both got one 8, one 7, one 6, one 4 and one 1There will definitely be more cases across all semi-finals (but I don't have the data for that in a way I can search) but still obviously very unlikely to have two in the same semi-final, especially as it's not just a case of two songs that only got one vote that happened to be the same number of points, although even that has never happened before.5 minutes ago, Colm said:I meant if they were both 20th.Ah right. Yes I imagine we would just let both in x
February 28Feb 28 I think the only fair way to resolve the tie in points is to redistribute everyone into two new semi finals, and run them again 🤞
