Posted February 27Feb 27 According to the Sun. He's in an induced coma now. GOOD.From The Sun.SOHAM monster Ian Huntley was given just a five per cent chance of survival after he was battered senseless with a metal pole in a prison workshop. The child killer was in an induced coma today as he was treated in hospital following the attack at HMP Frankland just after 9am on Thursday. And sources said medics “worked miracles” to keep the fiend alive after staff who saw Huntley after the beating assumed he was dead. One told The Sun: “It is miraculous he is still alive.“Medics have worked miracles on him and he has clung on.
February 27Feb 27 The person who attacked him is a 3x murderer and a rapist who attacked pregnant women Edited February 27Feb 27 by Hadji
February 27Feb 27 Whatever you think of Huntley, that shouldn't be a reason to celebrate what is currently attempted murder.
February 27Feb 27 I’d have cheered the matter if the person who attacked him was a shoplifter or someone who was wrongfully imprisoned

February 28Feb 28 As I said in relation to Ian Watkins this sort of thing hardly inspires confidence in the system. If it can happen to Huntley presumably it could just as easily happen to a member of staff. More minor assault no doubt does happen to staff all the time and doesn’t make the news.
February 28Feb 28 Author Still hanging on but his face was sliced almost in two. A wonder he survived.....his mother said she didn't even recognise him and hopes he dies.Under heavy armed police guard now as so many on SM asking someone to sneak in and pull the plug. He can hardly escape can he.. Edited February 28Feb 28 by CRAZY CHRIS
February 28Feb 28 It’s one of those situations where his death in the grand scheme of things just won’t really bring comfort for all of what he did and times like this where he’s in the media it’ll likely be hell for the families as they’ll in a way be reliving it again.
February 28Feb 28 Exactly im in agreement with Jordan, yes the man deserves to rot for what hes done but every failed attack on him has got to be traumatic for the family everytime they see his face plastered all over the papers
Friday at 22:323 days This case was just horrific I was only about 15 at the time it happened, but Soham was really quite local to me (about 15-20 miles away) and the horror of it felt so close to home for everyone.

Saturday at 09:053 days Author Still hanging on but Sky said it may not be announced straight away as Holly and Jessica's parents will have to be informed first. He was existing on just Wotsits and other sealed snacks from the prison TUC shop as he feared being poisoned if he ate in the canteen.
Saturday at 10:003 days whether or not this waste of oxygen survives, and I give very little thought as to whether that will be the case, we shouldn't be hearing about murders in prison, wasn't even six months ago Ian Watkins was murdered.

An absolute scumbag, but the guy who murdered him was also a complete scumbag who commited a horrendous crime. The only difference is one was national news for weeks and the other wasn't. While I won't be shedding any tears, there's a reason we don't have the death penalty. Would have bene far better for him to let him live his life in misery in constant fear rather than an easy way out.

It's always so chilling when it's discussed.
