Yeah I don’t think people realise how much time has passed for Little Mix to just be launching their solo careers now. At some point with most artists it’s just the passage of time and folks lose interest. It’s been 15 years since they won X Factor and 5 years since their last active year as a group.

The equivalent for the Spice Girls would be if they released their debut albums between October 2011 and February 2012.

They probably all could have released their albums earlier but they were trying to get hits.

I genuinely heard some people talking about him and this song in the pub today 😮

I love Olivia — she’s one of my favorites — but Warren’s is incredible and deserves first place.

Bruno's last solo album opened with 52,334 in Nov 2016. The Silk Sonic album opened with 12,484 in Nov 2021. Should beat the latter but quite a bit below the former.

The album is only 9 tracks which doesn't help in this streaming-dominated world. I don't see a huge amount of variants either and they're all priced full price/no sales etc. The album is quite good so I hope it has legs and sticks around a bit!

Silk Sonic wasn't really true Bruno so that makes sense but I genuinely thought he'd do 25-35k easy especially with high profile features / single that's streamed well. It feels like he's been everywhere.

I think Jade probably wanted to take her time and hone it (which paid off for her), Leigh-Anne got dropped after the second single and then had to release it all independently which would've delayed things quite significantly.

It kinda shows how much pop culture and society in general has stagnated over the past 2ish decades. Little Mix still feel fresh because no new girl groups have taken their place, that whole pop star system just doesn’t exist anymore.

God, it's so sad. Yeah there's the odd megastar kids can still follow, but wasn't the whole world of pop just so wonderful? I thumb through my old issues of Smash Hits and wonder where it all went.

Why is Jade’s album climbing and why is the hardest thing by olivia climbing?

Vinyls for the encore were released this week

Finally got round to listening to the new Gorillaz album and it’s excellent, a real return to form. Will be a deserved number one if it gets there this week

Out of the Olivia songs surprised the hardest part is charting over a couple minutes plus I'm really starting to like a couple minutes so it's a shame It might get starred out this week

Saved from Warren-ageddon!

But same and Olivia wedding growing even more guessing vinyls are included now given that jump

Great to see 'White Keys' looking safe to go top 40 this week after just being denied by the last minute Kate Bush reset last week!

Bella gaining on Alex but probably not by enough to get to #2 this week.

Nice lead for RMI

Also glad Bella is rising and cmon Bruno hopefully he'll gain but I don't see it happening maybe in another 10 years when he releases his next solo album lol

Hoping Bruno can at least keep #2 on the albums. I think it should hold up decently enough but I think Bruno would benefit from promotion here and we don’t have that until the tour!

However there’s not many males or artists in general what could take such a big gap in solo albums as what Bruno has and still be as high as #2.

Any idea if Twenty One Pilots sneaked back into Top 40 please?

(Probably not, but thought I'd ask)
