This is a little dated imo, Eurovision jury bait by numbers. I’m sure she will sell it but I too wish an artist I like as much as Delta was in a year I was actually going to watch. I think it will work, saying that, it’s just not something I’m that taken by.

Ooooh, this is epic! I always thought 'Wings' would make the perfect Eurovision entry, so it's nice to see it coming full-circle in a way (although shame about the year)

LOVE this. I love Delta and I'm so pleased that this is a strong song. Fingers crossed it performs well at Eurovision.

She has never publicly expressed any political views that I can recall reading about but I would imagine it's more timing that fits with her personal life and goals, as she has always said she would be interested in doing it (to mirror her two biggest idols Olivia Newton-John and Celine Dion).

She got married last year, she's been very keen to break into Europe again and has expressed that desire a lot over the last two or three years (she's pretty much toured or played gigs in the UK every year since 2022 at this point), and a career boost in Australia wouldn't hurt again where she's a legend but not had a hit for ages. She is also a very proud Australian and hosts a show every year called Christmas With Delta which is basically an advert for Australian tourism, so the patriotic side of her was probably itching to do it.

She's now 41, maybe she and her husband want to start a family soon (if that's in their plans, not that I want to assume), so maybe this feels like the optimum time to achieve all that in case her situation changes.

I definitely wish she had done it any other year though, and I absolutely do not back the EBU's decision. I do wonder what will happen in future years now - Israel are not going to go if they haven't gone (or been excluded) this year, so will those five countries that withdrew come back after making a (very honourable) stand, or will they be out for good?

It's immaculate. She's going to add so much to the live performance. It's going to win the jury unless France's opera singer is incredible.

However, it does very little for me. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the tune and more to do with my taste.

It's gonna have to really surprise to pull in a televote over 100.

But what do I know? 😄

Not surprisingly missed the ARIA Singles Chart, but it did debut at #13 on the Australian Artists Singles Chart.

I'm genuinely really loving this song (unsurprisingly, it's Delta) and it's putting me in a hard place as to wether I watch the contest or not 😭😭

I won't be watching it live, either way...

I have personally been following the songs still but I just can’t fathom watching the actual spectacle with how the EBU have been over Israel personally and it’s a real shame for something I’ve loved so much for 20 years but it hasn’t stopped me still enjoying music I would enjoy anyway.

I really like this and i hope it does really well for her, i think the song if backed with good staging should see her do well.
