Peak period ABBA and Blondie, even if many of their best songs were in the 80s. Afraid that's my least favourite HAIM song to chart in the UK (not counting the Taylor one kink ) but they'll be fine. Feel for The Chicks getting a hard time now that the other acts have all had more commercial success, but they've done well regardless.

02 Erasure - Chorus - probably my favourite here really but not my birthday #1 so tough

03 HAIM - Want You Back - good memories of this from seeing them live. Wasn't huge on it at first but it's really grown on me over the years

04 Florence + the Machine - My Love - Strong choice again, so consistent that she has material up with her best from so many albums in

05 ABBA - Take a Chance on Me - fun track, one of their better ones

06 The Corrs - Summer Sunshine - not a bad choice, it's a bit MOR radio for me but it is definitely pleasant

07 Scissor Sisters - Let’s Have a Kiki - not my fave from them, it's fun but it's quite throwaway

08 The Chicks - Julianna Calm Down - sorry Chicks, I've liked a lot of the things sent so far but this one doesn't do it for me as much

09 Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame - apologies to whoever is behind the Kittens, I've never been a fan of this cover. The album track choice remains my favourite pick so far

Classic top 2 and though they aren't my favourites from Florence and Haim, they sounded much better than I remember after not hearing them for a while. No hard feelings to Atomic Kitten's sender, but I've always detested that cover.

Great pick for Florence once more, was always going to take my top spot here. (I'd like to see 'King' get a turn too although not sure if it might be too risky at this stage. I'll settle for 'Cosmic Love' xx). I didn't recognise the Erasure song just from the title but it did come back to me when I heard it and that is a tune too, as is the Blondie one (I think I used to not rate that one super highly but it's grown on me). The Chicks' song is possibly their best one to date for me (close with 'Gaslighter') so at least they go out on a high if they indeed go out! Interesting choice there for Scissor Sisters, never fully known what to make of it really but it certainly stands out ~ Never really rated 'Want You Back' that highly, good but not a highlight of theirs. I have a slight soft spot for the Atomic Kitten version of 'Eternal Flame' as I actually knew of it before the original lol. 'Take A Chance On Me' is just one of many big ABBA hits that I really can't bring myself to care about. I've probably heard The Corrs' song before but it's been in one ear and out the other and it will be this time too.
