beabadoobee featuring The Marías

All I Did Was Dream Of You

1st single from forthcoming studio album

Released: 12th March 2026

Label: beabadoobee

Biography

As beabadoobee, singer-songwriter Beatrice Kristi Ilejay Laus meticulously dissects the tiny joys and inner battles of everyday life and wraps them all into snug indie-pop gems. Born in 2000 in the Philippines, Beatrice moved to London with her parents at age three. After spending a number of years playing the violin, she found the creative outlet she was craving after her father gifted her a guitar at age 17. Inspired by the lo-fi lullabies of Kimya Dawson on the Juno soundtrack and the candid ballads of Original Pilipino Music, she began crafting songs in her “safe place”: her bedroom. The Apple Music Up Next alum recorded her debut track, the cozy acoustic lullaby “Coffee,” in 2017. A nearly instant online hit that would be reworked into the 2020 Powfu hit “death bed (coffee for your head),” the tweeish track landed her a record deal with Dirty Hit Records and kicked off a prolific musical streak that included opening for Clairo and The 1975 and releasing 2020’s Fake It Flowers, a tender, cathartic love letter to ’90s alternative and indie rock—and to herself. Laus followed this debut with an expansive second full-length, 2022’s Beatopia, that incorporated influences from glitchy electro and R&B, along with a string of one-off singles, including 2023’s orchestrated romantic waltz “Glue Song.” She also bolstered her list of collaborators—including jazz sensation Laufey on “A Night To Remember”—and opened several dates of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. The momentum behind beabadoobee continued to increase on the dreamy ’90s alt-rock single “Take A Bite,” from 2024’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves. But as she has built up her confidence and her sound, Laus remains a refreshingly honest voice. “With my music, I want it to feel like a warm blanket,” she told Apple Music. “I want it to be that album you dance to in your bedroom late at night.” - Apple Music

James Blake and Dave

Doesn't Just Happen

170x170bb.jpg

Album track from Trying Times

Released: 13th March 2026

Label: James Blake

Video

Biography

The UK’s underground bass-music scene has produced few superstars bigger or more unexpected than James Blake: In just a few short years, the London-born producer snuck out of the city's dankest basement clubs and refashioned himself as one of pop music’s most radiant singer-songwriters. Blake started in the late 2000s digging through dubstep’s dusty corners, crafting stuttering beats and sizzling synth lines out of what felt like pure shadow. His music could be strikingly minimalist: The title of his debut single, “Air & Lack Thereof,” could have doubled as the list of ingredients used to concoct it. But something shifted as he traded sampled a cappellas for his own voice. Held aloft by his airy, agile falsetto, his eponymous 2011 debut album soared. The Feist cover “Limit to Your Love” revealed the opposition at the heart of his music, his trembling high notes mirrored by an almost inaudibly deep bass throb. With subsequent albums Overgrown (2013) and The Colour in Anything (2016), Blake not only developed into one of pop's most introspective souls; he also became one of its most in-demand collaborators, writing and singing for an endless scroll of the rap and R&B elite, including Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Frank Ocean, and Kendrick Lamar. It’s easy to see why so many would turn to him: Between his wide-open baritone register, nuanced vocal textures, and probing lyrics of ecstasy and doubt, he can make even the smallest song feel like a world unto itself. His universe grew again when he moved to Los Angeles and released 2019’s Assume Form, where Travis Scott, ROSALÍA, André 3000, and others joined him in making the most unexpectedly joyous album of his career—a tribute to his girlfriend, the actress Jameela Jamil, and, more importantly, a declaration of peace with his demons. But Blake has also proved that artistic evolution need not be linear or one-way, that there’s value in looping back and revisiting one’s origins. So on 2023’s Playing Robots Into Heaven he returned to the dance sounds at the root of his music—house, dubstep, trap, techno, and blends of all the above—while imbuing them with his now-characteristic vocal melodies and tantalizingly bittersweet air. It’s the seemingly effortless sound of an artist flexing hard-won wisdom about his unique style—and taking a well-earned victory lap back through the club culture where he got his start. What he learned from the process, he told Apple Music, “was that the feeling of ‘Is this too easy?’ is actually a good feeling. It means you’re onto something, it means you are doing something right.” - Apple Music

Biography

Tension can be a great motivator for a band, and no group has put that maxim to the test quite like Fleetwood Mac, a ’60s British blues-rock outfit that—through a series of lineup changes, stylistic shifts and rocky internal romances—became the paragons of ‘70s Californian pop. Since the band’s formation in London in 1967, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie have served as both the rhythmic and spiritual anchors for a group that has hosted a revolving-door procession of outsized personalities, starting with Peter Green, the budding guitar god responsible for early hits like “Black Magic Woman” (famously covered by Santana) and the tranquil instrumental “Albatross” (which The Beatles admittedly aped on their Abbey Road track “Sun King”). After Green quit in 1970, the band cycled through different frontmen—Danny Kirwan and Bob Welch among them—while their keyboardist, McVie’s wife Christine, emerged as a female vocal foil. After a relocation to L.A., they welcomed singer/songwriter Lindsey Buckingham and his musical/romantic partner Stevie Nicks into the fold, heralding Fleetwood Mac’s transition into soft-rock hitmakers on their 1975 self-titled effort. But Nicks’ star turns on “Rhiannon” and “Landslide” revealed a darker mystique at the core of their easygoing sound and, as sudden success caused the long-term relationships within the band to disintegrate, their next release effectively invented a new genre: rock album as couples therapy. On 1977’s Rumours, Fleetwood Mac dressed up the bitterest break-up songs in the smoothest, sultriest arrangements to the tune of over 40 million copies sold; the album’s appeal is so universal that it’s been both cited by Courtney Love as an influence and used to soundtrack Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign. But the band were eager to play against pop-star type—1979’s double-album colossus Tusk betrayed Buckingham’s affinity for post-punk, and though it was deemed a commercial disappointment at the time, it has since been embraced as a cult classic by discerning indie rockers. And even as more streamlined ‘80s efforts like Mirage and Tango in the Night reasserted their pop panache, Fleetwood Mac have remained a cauldron of drama and intra-band acrimony, the principal members seemingly coming and going without warning. In the wake of Buckingham’s departure in 2018, the group enlisted Crowded House singer Neil Finn and Tom Petty sideman Mike Campbell. Christine McVie, who wrote some of the band’s biggest songs, including “Don’t Stop”, “You Make Lovin' Fun” and “Over My Head”, died in November 2022 at the age of 79. - Apple Music
