Sensing that this song needs some more defenders so hello x it's grown on me a lot and I rly like the 'ro-o-o-ck music' bit! Weird choice for a lead if that's what this is but I'll be streaming anyway

The b-side is horrendous though x

I want the vinyl but I don't want to pay 15 quid charli. If raye and dua can do a 7" for a fiver why can't everyone else? (Though Dua upped her prices for 'Illusion')

I am going to choose to interpret this as a piss-take given the rock music speculation, in that it works very well.

I seriously hope so because taken as a lead single it's....not great x

I’m here for you rock chick Charliii🥺

There’s more to this than meets the ear x

This is how I feel too, but I still don't like the rest of the song around it

all 50 seconds of it

Why does it show this Kanye West video in the info for "Rock Music" on the OCC website?

Debuted at #36, becoming Charli's 26th top 40 hit.

36 11,211 Charli xcx - Rock Music [932 7" vinyl]

932 vinyls sold bratcheeseblock wonder if that made the difference? That section of the chart is quite close to each other usually

Its great she managed another top 40 🙌🙌🩵(id say vinyl probably did just push it in)

Just a shame its for one of her worst songs when some of her best never did

This week, we're looking at 36-OUT

Not suprised there 😬

The passive-aggressiveness of this is kind of.... alarming? I mean you do your thing and people like it or not, no need to go on writing excessive rants about it after the reception of one track. Was she expecting to sail on to another BRAT era with a song like Rock Music? Because its cultural impact was once in a career type of thing.

Passive aggressive how?

Obviously she’s disappointed with the reaction to ‘Rock Music’. Nothing wrong with that.

I’m a fan of the song and do think people were too quick to judge it. I love how fearless she is with going whatever sound or direction she wants. Never a dull or predictable moment with Charlotte
