It was midweek #37 which is a massive improvement from her previous album's already (both Melanie C and Version of Me where already out of the Top100 during the midweeks).

Clearly the 'delays' on shipping for a lot of the items where a clever engeneering to ensure that the album would have at least another week or so in the charts ( I can't prove this is the case, just a supposition that has been talked about here and across the other forums ).

Obviously streaming numbers will come in and she is bound to fall lower than that position, and who knows how much she is actually selling physically and downloads.

What is your guess?

lol 'only just' I had a feeling she would just scrape in!

  • Looking forward to finding out where it charted/what it's sold in week 2! About 6 hours to go 🤪

  • I really hope it can be Top 100, but streaming is a killer. I'll vote Top 200, and I think it might end up Top 120. I hope I'll be wrong and it does better! When her self-titled album fell to #132, i

I'm going to be optimistic and say our girl will remain in the Top100 for two weeks for the first since This Time in 2007 gaycat

I really hope it can be Top 100, but streaming is a killer. I'll vote Top 200, and I think it might end up Top 120. I hope I'll be wrong and it does better!

When her self-titled album fell to #132, it sold 1,096 copies to be that position. Last week, the #127 album sold 1,729 - so in the lower regions of the album chart, sales have increased considerably since 2020. Therefore 'Sweat' will have to sell a few hundred more than 'Melanie C' to even attain a similar second week position.

Top 100 on Friday probably requires around 2,000 sales.

I think for 'Sweat' to have been midweek #37 on Monday it would have been over 1,000 sales, maybe even as much as 1,200. Who knows how well the album could be selling these past few days. We'll find out tomorrow!

I think it’ll be Top 100 just - the HMV in Brighton (which is happening now) have loads of the Spice Boys and Exclusive Cover CDs so expecting some of those to be snapped up.

Looking forward to finding out where it charted/what it's sold in week 2! About 6 hours to go 🤪

I know proper scabby think they must of double counted a couple of sales 😝😝

Well done though
