L.P. Rhythm and Marlon Hoffstadt ❤️

  • Florence Road being the first what artist? Future Artist of the month?

As expected, they've frozen the main playlist so they can focus on artists who are playing the Big Weekend. Last year they did this for two weeks so it's likely it will be the same this year (although for now the website says this playlist is in effect from 15th - 21st May so we'll see).

If I recall recorrectly Calvin Harris fell victim into having a late playlist add last year with 'Blessings' thanks to the Big Weekend playlist and looks like 'Satisfy' may also be also get a late add too.

would love to see all these get 1tros! also Satisfaction Skank finally made it 😂. also i just realised is Florence Road the first future artist to get onto b list?

No, EsDeeKid was Future Artist in December and was A-Listed with Century at the same time

'Satisfaction Skank' finally actually officially playlisted then! (I did hear it plenty of times on the breakfast show the last few weeks so not sure why it wasn't on the playlist anyway - although given it's definitely just being played because of Fatboy Slim's Big Weekend slot I assume it'll be dumped after Big Weekend is over)

Great to see so many dance tracks on here! Also that Alessi Rose track isn't out until Tuesday so don't know what they're playing until then? IIRC Main Stage is A list rotation and New Music Stage is B list rotation.

Greg played First Original Thought this morning so maybe that will fill the gap until release

I think last year they replaced some with new tracks by the artist so next week I'd expect we get Sonny Fodera and Libianca's new song. only the best and Breathe were sounding GREAT today as well as the spot plays they're giving to Introducing tracks I heard Anish Kumar on Nat and Vicky's show earlier.

I’ve not looked at the songs played so far this week, but I don’t think that’s been the case in previous years.

That Marlon Hoffstadt track is a brilliant price of dance music! Have heard it a few times over the last few days, hopefully that makes the main playlist.

I have to say normally I’m not a fan of the Big Weekend playlists but it’s sounding really fresh this year! Whether it’s because there’s a lot of tracks there that haven’t made the main playlist I’m not sure, but it’s sounding good.

Tune of the Week

Dean McCullough: Jorja Smith - What's Done Is Done

Greg James: Gracie Abrams - Hit The Wall

Rickie, Melvin and Charlie: Nemzzz feat. Lil Yachty - GEEKIN

Matt and Mollie: Holly Humberstone - Beauty Pageant

Going Home: Wasia Project - 2515
